Cough Syrup - drunk or high?

this is something ive been wondering. if you take cough syrup, are you getting drunk cause you're drinking something or are you getting high?

The best line to use is Robotussin: Max Strength C&C; it's the strongest and contains none of the anti-histamines. If deviating from that, use DXM-only cough syrups (stay away from CCC). The only other decent brand is Vick's 44, but it has a lower DXM count than Robo Max.

 

DexAlone, its gelcaps with ONLY dxm, gelcaps take an extra 30 mins to kick in, heres my advice if youve never done it before, do it on an empty stomach, like stomach growling hungry, and it takes bout 1hour 30 mins to kick in, thats early high, dont be around sober people they are a buzzkill, its fun to plan out a 'trip' with your friends have a bunch do it with you at the same time, and its cool to just lay there in a comfortable place with all the lights off listening to music (though music can seem annoying in high stages)

take around 350-400 your first time doing it, dont do it too often because your tolerance will drastically go up after 3 or so times.

 

drunk or high? couldn't being drunk be considered a type of high? there all just words, each drug does its own specific thing. which word you choose explains nothing about the drug.im pretty sure dxm is actually a disassociative, not a pscyhedelic.
psychedelics activate receptors in teh brain not usually, if ever, activated and trigger a massive rush of energy in the brain.
from what i've read dxm and disassociatives actually make the brain act as if you are sleeping, while your still awake. so hypnogogic imagery (dream visions) enter into your waking life, but your still conscious so you can't just "wake up". this dreamy state also explains the tired, drunken feeling as opposed to feeling awake and sped up while on acid.
some of the visuals and hallucinations are similar to the more commonly used psychs, but it is a very different experience. i think it works best as a lucid dream agent (for actual dreaming during sleep).

It depends on how much you drink and what you drink. The stuff in cough syrup that gets you messed up is Dextromathorphan Hybromide. The class of drugs it's in are called discosiative anesthtics. (Similar to PCP and K). Drinking a 4 ounce bottle of Robitussin will make you feel euphoric, a little num, and you will have acid-like visual distortions (though DXM is very dissimilar to acid) such as lights will look bright, stuff will sort of "suprise" you, and things may bounce around. You also will feel beer goggles. An 8 ounce bottle of Robitussin is at the discosiative level. It all depends on who you are, but time will be extremely slowed down, a lot more than just when you're high. You will feel very drunk, but in an unpleasent way, and you'll be confused. Things might spin upside down, or you could see elaborate bubbles of color in your head. A 12 ounce bottle of tussin isn't something that I would recomend. On that you are barley conscioss, totally in a dream world. You will feel nothing. If you drink a bottle of NYquil you'll feel drunk as shit. Lower amounts of cough syrup are fun, but they can do certain kinds of brain damage, and mess up your liver and breathing. I know because I was addicted to DXM for 2 years. I was literally eating 64 Coricidon a day. Very euphoric, but addiction is hell. I wouldn't recomend it, but everyone should do what they want.

swig a bottle of zicam nite spray, best way to go. most dexxers prefer it even over straight powder. it has 540mg's of dxm, smoke a bowl or two with it and youll be floored on your ass if you dont have much experience with the stuff. and it's a really small amount of liquid, though it might possibly be the foulest tasting conconction known to man. although, drinking whole bottles of cough syrup isn't that glorious either.

either way, DXM isn't exactly the most healthy drug for your brain to be taking. though its not very dangerous, or life-threatening that is to say. none of the dissasociatives are really that healthy for your brain, but if you do it responsibly its not as stupid as a lot of people make it out to be. DXM at the higher plateaus is an amazing one-of-a-kind drug. ive had some of my most beautiful experiences from drugs on it. and, most deaths are from kiddies not knowing what theyre doing and taking the wrong stuff, like CCC's, its not the dxm that kills them, its the other shit in there.

for a little story. i ran away from my home, family and school in my senior year for about a week with about 10 bottles of zicam and a quarter of weed and lived on the beach. i was dexxed out of my skull for teh whole time, prolly the best week of my life lol.

to be honest. for meditation purposes, acid doesnt even compare to dxm at the higher plateaus for me.

 

I like DXM personally. But it is very unhealthy so I haven't done it in over a year and I don't ever plan on doing it again unless I can get pure DXM. It kinda entrances you and makes you think, with slight drunken properties and a mild body high. It's kinda cool. Better to do if you have weed also.
