My friends and I have been traveling the country and working very hard to start the COS. We have ended up deciding to establish in Payson, AZ. If you would like to learn more about the COS you can contact me. I am always willing to spread the word. I have 4 other people that would gladly assist me too. We do plan on one day being self sufficient, but for now a lot of hard work is going to go to establishing our community. I have a piece of land already and 9 followers along with the original 4 members. Well if you are interested, let me know and we can talk about the posibility of anyone joining us! :sunny:

Sorry I haven't been on much to chat, I only get a certain amount of internet time at the library a day and I usually have to use it to send emails and write articles. The COS is a commune that I have worked very hard to establish since 2010 and we are finally starting to get some progress, I own land in Payson, AZ and Palm Bay, FL. We are based on the idea that home is where the heart is. I started the COS with 4 of my friends and it has expanded to about 59 members now that I have gotten all over the country. We don't ask for money, or anything for entry, we just expect everyone chip in and do their part. I myself am a recovering cancer patient and don't have much anywhere else. When I met the original members it was like finding family, comfort and home. We aren't here to tell anyone what to do, or how to live, but if you are looking for a family and people to care for and have care for you, than you have come to the right place. I have hippies, punks, Christians, all sorts of different wonderful people that I have came to love and care for. We have simple rules and regulations to maintain a well working little society and I often travel back and forth between the two different locations to make sure everything is running smoothly, if you are looking for people to take advantage of or do anything of bad nature, I wouldn't suggest this be your place. We are a sharing community, we share pretty much everything. 3 square meals a day, we have clothes that we give to new members that came off the streets and we have medical care equipment in our Palm Bay community. I could go on all day about everything with the COS, but I don't have much time left.

I am actually in the process of creating a web page right now, I will post when finished so all the info and exact locations will be right there. Pretty stoked, progress is moving fast and I can't wait for all of you to see the wonderfulness of it all :)

I've been wanting to try something similar but geared as a flotation system for large scale seaweed cultivation in deeper waters.
Would certainly help offset the arguments against Ethanol or other Biofuel crops using up too much farmland for the sake of Energy production and maybe make a nice platform for an offshore Sushi Bar too.
