wow, that's absolutely tragic. not just for the man that was dead; but what sort of state of mind must the other pensioner be in to not have reported that the other man was dead for so long?

 

Another way of looking at it: are you sure your housemates are still alive?

 

im very sure theyre still alive as the toilets keep getting dirtier, washing up pile keeps growing and beer cans keep appearing

What a shit fucking warden complex if they couldn't detect it for 8 years! When my grandfather was lived in one they'd ring him every night and if he didn't answer they'd go around to check on him.

Taking someone's word for it for 8 years without seeing him is an awful excuse though.

 

People just dont care much about other people and thats it.

 

I mean, if it doesnt concern them , they dont care.

it's true, i suppose. i wonder what the turnover rate is at that complex where the old fucker was staying. you know, like, maybe the same people weren't working there for 8 years and thus didn't know to check up on the other occupant.
