My mom wasn't sure what the laws were about marijuana so she decided to ask. She called the police (from a different phone) and asked them what the penalties would be if I was charged with the possession of marijuana. Anyways the cop lies to her, telling her that if I was caught with any amount of marijuana LESS than an ounce, my mom and dad would lose their home, cars, and possessions, my dad would lose his job, and their children (me and my sister) would be placed in a foster home. Now is that not the biggest bunch of bullshit you've ever heard?!?!?!?! I'm very angry because of this because my mom is very paranoid about people coming over and smoking and even me smoking now. I told her it's a lie but she doesn't believe me. I'm going to show her NORML.org's site and info about it. Can you guys help me throw some facts at her? I'm in GA if you need to know the state for local laws.

What a bunch of bullshit. Cops are always looking for a fight at a protest and otherwise, they'll just fuck you over. Same goes for the administration ANYWHERE!!! I'm starting to really contemplate the upside of anarchy. Or just a total revolution...something. Anyway, I'll do some lookin' for ya. Just out of curiosity, is your mom a hippie or just cool with you smokin' pot? It's an attitude that is largely missing from our society these days.
My mom wants me to tell her the truth about what I do. She also would rather me smoke in the house where she knows what I'm doing and knows that I'm safe. She wants to make sure I don't get caught because otherwise I'd be "out on the streets" and I'd have a better chance of getting caught. She says if I smoke, and she makes me stop, I'm going to do it anyways, so she isn't going against it. She's a hippy She's always telling me how shes mellow and lives life to the fullest, day by day. And she's not a worrier. She's a really cool person
She prolly thinks I'm going to lose motivation in school and not go to college or something.. but I don't know why she thinks that..I've been smoking since 10th grade (I'm in 11th now) and my grades have stayed the same (high A's). I'm #17 in the class of 642 students so she doesnt have anything to worry about...... I'm not losing motivation (I have a job right now my priorities are straight)
There's a few things you can do. I think it's total bullshit that a cop would lie about that kind of thing to someone who is clearly concerned. What a disservice to the community he is doing. Anyways, you can't lose your house because your kid has a little bit (under half a fucking ounce!) and your family won't be split up. I mean, YOU will get in trouble if you get caught, but they don't attack the whole family. Except, you're a minor, so I don't know what effect that would have on your parents...nothing like that assfuck cop told your mom, though.
my buddy got caught with weed by a cop, he just searched him, called his perents and had his perents pick him up, not even a possesion charge(4 grams marijuana, 1 gram hash,heavily resined paraphenilia(sp?).
go to your state website and find information on marijuana. I just went to google and typed in "oregon marijuana laws" and it gave me the state website with a whole detailed page of useful information on marijuana laws/restrictions/penalties.
