While high on the train last night, i started thinkning about the circle-geometry law that states that an angle formed from the diamtetre of a cicle and the circumpfrence is always right angled, and then right in fornt of me, i saw all tehse shapes move and stuff and i visualised all of the laws and theories id learn in maths leading to eachother, and i stopped when i was overcome with the utter power of it all, and when i saw how trigonometry is such a rational and simple theory. i mean, id learnt this all already at school, but seeing it in front of me jsut all fit together at once, while high, was rather amazing. who says maths is confusing when high? lol
Maybe you just like maths? Weird shit to think about, although on mushrooms I had an arguemeant with myself about weather I was looking through my real eyes and that was kinda annoying.
Uh isn't the circumference of a circle the measurement of the distance around it? How can an angle be formed by a line and a number?
Math is easier to understand when high. Its easier cuz your able to accept what you dont know and work around or you make up what you dont know and think you under stand
See, you shall never be a mathematician the circumfrence can be used to refer to jsut the edge of the circle, because ethere are heaps of edges or lines butonly one circumfrence. if you knew the rule, youd understand, if not, if you draw a circle, and draw two lines from any point on the circle, to any two other points that are on opposite ends ot the circlre, the triangle of the three points will be right angled. anotehr way to say it is if you have a right andlged triangle and draw a circle that goes through all threee points, the hypotenuse will be the diametre.. what am i donig tlaking about maths in a stonewr forum/??
StonerBill & geO_tehaD_returns, Indeed the "circumfrence of a circle" is a number. The set of points equidistant from one point is a "circle". Sometimes it is called the perimiter of a circle. The points inside a circle are not part of the circle. So much for precise definitions, real mathematicians use those terms interchangably. Usualy the distinction is unimportant. geO_tehaD_returns' teachers are teaching the formal definition of the terms. He is not exploring math at the level where the meaning is so well known that the distinction is ignored. By the way StonerBill, keep on with your math. It seems that you are one of the few people that can see math as fun. Use that vision to explore the world of math!! I studied math in college and always encourage people to love math.
