The short answer.. is the same way you do any diesel engine....

The long answer is what generator? What engine? What are you skills, are you a mechanic?

    hey, just saw your post.
this is something my husband is very interested in so i'll do my best to answer your question.

    Really you have 3 options:

    1. In some places you can find biodiesel blends (i.e. B20 which is 20% veggie oil, or B100 which is 100%) these products are already processed and made to run off of diesel engines without having to modify them. The problem is finding them. We have only been able to find b20 in virginia, better than nothing but still.

    2. You can process your own veggie oil into biodiesel. This involves a bit of chemical know-how though and you have to be careful. There are actually quite a few books on the subject.

    3. Convert your engine or generator to run on pure veggie oil. The only think I know about this is that you will have to replace rubber gaskets as rubber will break down quickly over time running on veggie oil. I suggest doing an amazon.com search or investigating your local library. There are a surprising amount of books on the subject. Hope this helps!
