    ah! ::blush:: thank you!
I was thinking the Philosophy and Religion forum, but its fiction, and its just a story, but nonetheless quite a trippy mind fuck to read.
I'm really glad I did it right this time :)

    hmm, interesting read.

If i were an atheist, i'd probably print a copy and put it in my pocket.

Why do you think it's fiction?

Maybe it's the part at the end where he said "If you enjoyed reading this.."
    that made it fall apart.

Towards the end i was wondering if he was going to ask about souls, and life after death. Then at the bottom he sais "Oh, wondering about that were you, here, click this link to a play i wrote." WTF? I'm probably not going to read that -thanks anyway.

I think he shot himself in the foot with that, then shot his other foot by surrounding the story with all his other links. Not a good way to get believers.

I'm an atheist and I like the story, because if a God exists thats pretty darn close to describing what it *could* be like.
    But fiction is fiction.

That was an interesting read. I think there probably is intelligent life out there. I agree humans have some big challenges looming ahead. Peak oil for example.

Agreed. the author of this article not only made an awesome story, but addressed A LOT about humans, society, technology, life, etc. in a very logical, understandable, and believable way.

then why bother posting? is your attention span really that short that you can't read a simple short essay, yet you can post a useless comment?

i've had a similar conversation with God before.
    in jan 09

God -"Steve, you are one of the generally what would seem unlucky few who do not have a choice in their lives about their lives by your own choice. you are doomed to live by your own mentality and you will not be able to change that fact. No matter what you do or decide, you will have done it because you know that was the one thing you would have done and you can not blame any one or thing else, for you do not have that option because you know you did it yourself. ..."

Steve -"i love your sense of humor God"
    God -"thanks"
Steve - "so is that the concept of life ?"
    God -"yea pretty much"
Steve -"kinda sad in a way"
God -"not really, giving you the abitlity to conceive this relam means you can change something, if it were just you guys out there playing your roles in a premade life like a character in a movie, what would you need me for ? so i have to give myself relevance." "and remeber not everything stays the same forever"
    Steve -"noted"
Steve -"you made alot of stuff like that didnt you ?"
    God -"i did."
Steve -"like the american society, its pretty fucked up, but then again its really not fucked up. actually, the human society in general, everything is. its like its not finished and everything is just kinda thrown together"
God -"its not perfected, because perfect is finished"
steve- "no kidding its not perfect. everything is mixed up" ...
why is everything so mixed up ?

this is steve using his cerebrum, which couldalso be considered as god talking to him
