Apart from all else in the recent theories I have read about, I would like to mention that the references to recent events have really caught my interest. 9 out of 10 conspiracies here seem to reference the recent economic troubles and the war in Iraq as major supporting factors. I just wanted to say, what did theorists in the 70's say? "the end is near because.... and the economy is proof!" Well, the economy jumped back then, what will everyone here say if/when it jumps back in the next 3-5 years? Will everyone all of a sudden find some "new" document that says that the government planned the panic and that the end is not really in 5 years, but 50? Will people realize "oh, shit, my theory was wrong!" Will we get new ones that completely write out the economic crisis of 2007-2008? Or will the economy never reboud and by 2015 we will all be mindless slaves to the government (I curse the person who replies "we already are mindless slaves to the governemnt!)?

"Conspiracy theorist" is a derisive term used to marginalize and discredit those who ask questions and think critically. You see, none of this is theory because it's all been openly admitted in documents and publications by the very conspirators themselves. What they admitted would happen in documents and books 40-50 years ago is now happening (it's been happening), and they said it would come to a head around this time period. These people operate according to a time-table.

The average person knows nothing about Carroll Quigley, the CFR, the Club of Rome, or any of these other groups that have written their plans on paper, realizing that the average person would never bother to read them as they are preoccupied with television, sports and other mindless entertainment.

When you look at what's going on at the moment with the economy, realizing it was completely orchestrated to happen, and now they're openly calling for a "New World Order" as the solution, you better understand that this has been in the works for a very long time. It didn't just happen spontaneously. The people in control of things are not incompetent, as the media would have you believe. We are talking the brightest minds in the world here. At this level things don't just happen, they are MADE to happen.

So I guess I would much rather be labeled a conspiracy theorist than be a coincidence theorist who believes everything as it is presented to them at face value on the nightly news.

The thing is, what you are talking about is already here and has been here for a very long time. Most people think everything is completely normal because they were born into this system and have nothing to compare it to. They are completely indoctinated into the system which they believe to be real and normal. They are incapable of looking around them and seeing that the elite's plans have largely come to fruition. These people work incrementally. They are much further ahead now than they were 10 and 20 years ago. So their new system is being slowly implemented. It doesn't just happen overnight. People think that because they still have a remaining semblance of freedom and ability to speak their opinion, that things haven't drastically been altered while they've slept. But they have been, and you're going to see a quickening in the progression of the direction in which things have been headed in the coming months and years.

I remember reading somewhere that they can use HAARP to positively charge the Ionosphere, which can make the stock market rise.

Making it negative can make it fall to.

I dont know how credible that may be, but I think its plausible.

Thanks for the reply rat, you were the one was most mostly asking the question to :). As for using conspiracy theorist, I didn't mean to use it as a derogatory term or anything, just what I call the specific group of people that talk about... well, conspiracies. I definitely see what you are saying, but my question was, what if, 10, 20, 30 years from now, nothing is different?

I understand the timetable thing, it just seems that it's almost like an excuse for things to happen slowly/not at all. Not that I am saying that anything you are saying is untrue, just that the "slow burn" of this secret society controlling the world thing has to have a definitive ending point. Eventually, there is going to be a point where nothing is left, you know? Where they have complete control. So, in order to get there within 10, 20, hell even 50 or 60 years there will have to be noticeable changes. I'll venture so far as to call myself not an average joe because I do research and read about "outlandish" stuff like this, so when will I begin to see a change? I suppose the patriot act could be considered one, but does it really put them any closer to their goal? If they wanted to take over the world or whatever their goal is, couldn't they just cover it up without having someone like bush (who everyone hates, by the way) sign some annoyance of a bill that lets them do shit they have already been doing legally?

But really, there are plenty of people, normal people who remember, from 60 years ago who would say that things are basically (with the exception of better porn, better drugs and more entertaining TV) the same as they were way back in the day. Wouldn't these kind of people notice that our freedoms are slowly being dissolved, as you say? When i am 50 or 60 or 70, don't you think i would tell my kids stories from "back when I was young" and they would notice "wow, shit was better back then?"

This isn't meant to disprove anything, just to, as you say, ask questions. Because, lets face it, at this very instant, you and the rest of the guys who have been here a while are like the government, and I am like the kid who knows nothing (I play that role in a lot of scenarios lol). So, what if within my life, our lives ( I am assuming you are not over 40, no disrespect, just doens't seem like it), nothing happens? What then? Is it all good or will someone fabricate an excuse for why all these theories are wrong (theoretically).

Thanks for coming along. Oh, and I curse whoever it was that I said I would curse for saying what they did :D
