if there were no laws, no rules of good moral or social conduct, what is the worst thing you could see yourself doing? remember, your actions will have no consequences whatsoever. you are governed only by your conscience.
For the most part, my conscience is my law and I follow it much closer than what the government tells me to do..............so I don't think much would change. Except maybe bein' able to light my pipe where I wanted..........
like raping someone would make my conscience feel bad, killing people.. what's the point? beat them.. same.. steal? do I really need anymore material shit? I seriously can't think of anything..
I pretty much live by the rules of my own conscience now. I can't think of anything that supposed freedom/lack of laws would allow me to do differently.
I'd make my own street gang. We'll be hunted down by other street gangs over a framed murder. We will barely escape, but finally will be able to prove our worth while unmasking the true killer.
I’ve probably been spending to much time philosophizing in other threads so I’m probably over thinking this but I have to ask; what would you say a conscience is and where did it come from? I mean, I see the conscience as the source of all the laws and rules of good moral and social conduct. So if you leave us with a conscience then you really haven’t removed the laws and rules of good moral and social conduct. And if you remove the conscience then there would be no worst thing you could do because there would no longer be any way to tell whether something is worse than another.
We’re born with a moral compass otherwise we’d spend most of the day trying to resist our impulses and basic instincts – wait don’t we do that anyway hotwater
