Turns out that all my planets are in the first three houses (all but one in the first two) and I have about 13 conjunctions. Is this a lot? How many conjunctions do you have?

You're not stupid. A conjunction is when planets are within three degrees of each other. Some astrologers like to use ten degrees. Conjunct planets lend intense energy to each other, sometimes good, sometimes challenging.

So you mean like a straight line, in a way? The more planets are in a 'row' behind each other away from the sun are conjunctions?

Hi ryupower. Conjunct planets are joined, and while it is unusual to have multiple planets all conjuct in the same spot it does happen. (In fact this happened in 2000) So long as they fall within three degrees of each other (in the chart) they are conjunct. "Planetary alignment" is the astronomical term for when the planets line up in a straight line.
    Conjunct is an astrology term.
    Hope this helps. =)

i have a few conjunctions, 8 or so i think. i have Moon conjunction Mercury, Mars conjunction Saturn, Mars conjunction Uranus and then Saturn conjunction Uranus, Saturn conjunction Neptune and Uranus conjunction Neptune. the other two are Mars and Uranus conjunction MC. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Mars are all lined up in the 10th House on my chart. so it's like Mars conjunction Saturn conjunction Uranus conjunction Neptune. haha, that's fun.

In a composite chart, the planets are going to be in different signs. Like your Mars could be in Leo and the other querant's Mars in Libra. Planets can be conjuct and in different signs in a natal chart or a composite chart.
