Got turned on to this one by a Muslim freind of mine, oddly enough...it reads well, if you can enjoy the older style of prose that it's written in....I don't expect a lot of replies, but the book is worth reading. You may find a bit of yourself in what he writes.

Oh wow. I JUST saw this book at an antique bookstore yesterday! It looked interesting, but I was with a friend, so I didn't get to check it out really. I'll have to go back!

St.Augustine was an important figure in the development of western Christianity in the late Roman Empire period. He is also acknowldeged as a philosopher. 'The Confessions' are an interesting read, and actually, quite accessible and in places, relevant to people to-day. I don't agree with all of Augustine's conclusions, but this is well worth a read.
