So yeah, what do y'all think? Is it as offensive as it's being made out to be?

 

I don't know that the word offensive fits so much as stupid. He sounds like a smug little self centered prick (literally). I want what I want and I'm gonna get it. OK Probably he will get it...if he doesn't already have it. And worse than him getting it, he'll be giving it.

I totally fail to see how anyone can delude themselves into thinking they are cool and individualistic with this behavior.
I know such fools though. One, a young man I worked with for years is now full blown AIDS...the meds aren't working right for him...he cries a lot and says shit like, "I never thought it would be this bad". Just how god damn stupid do people have to be. The proven best route to infection with HIV...so ya take it up the ass and catch a bad load. And , well opps, I got the bug. I'm gettin all kind of immune system diseases. I probaly won't live through my thirty's. I have no social life, I live poorly between doctor visits....the meds are expensive even though the taxpayer covers most of them...I can't eat most of the time cause my stomach is wrecked by drugs. Nobody with a brain wants to have sex with me now.
And the braggin little fool that writes his blog is quite content to invite the same horror onto not just himself but ignorant partners, more little brave fools. I got no use for the bastard...I know there are tons of idiots like him, health stats prove it. I really have no use for him because he makes an underhanded macho, bad boy glorification of it. He'll encourage other dumb asses to follow in his wake...obviously many already are. All of us will pay for his stupidity. He gives the phobes and haters great ammunition, he puts a God awful strain on a health care system that barely holds up at best. He drains tax payer money to finance his stupidity (a lot like bush).
Bottom line for me, he's a smug, selfish piece of shit who has been lucky so far...so far as he knows. Soon enough he's likely to pay the price and he'll make a lot of others pay too. Self centered smug piece of shit in my book. But, of course, he has a right to do so.

 

Did "full blown AIDS" exist as an expression before Family Guy, or is that it's legacy?

Not that I'm a massive sympathiser or anything, but it does seem like the reaction against him is a little extreme. People wishing AIDS and the Holocaust on him... I mean, it seems almost cartoonishly hateful against someone who is little more than a caricature...

I don't know, it's made me wonder. I know a fair few middle aged gays who are at least as gross, probably worse. Seems odd.

 

Full blown AIDS was the medical terminology of several years ago describing when white cell levels dropped below a certain number...long before the cartoon.

I don't wish ill on him because he's sure to spread any illness he contacts...I just think he's a first rate asshole for bragging on dangerous behavior and possibly encouraging others to do the same. Are there lots of people who engage in really stupid behavior?...of course there are. Its one thing to be so stupid, its quite another to take such public pride in ignorance.

Its entirely possible some of the anger vented at him comes from people who have suffered from HIV/AIDS or have friends/lovers who have.

 

I think the biggest issue is that he has a history of tricking guys with condoms with holes in them AND drugging them. That's inexcusable.

 

According to the article he's only tricked someone once, and there's no mention of drug use. I'd have thought, given that they're not particularly feigning impartiality, they'd have mentioned it.

As he said, it takes two. It doesn't seem like he's forcing people to have unprotected sex with him. They have to want to as well, and apparently they do.

I dunno, I read a couple of his "stories" and I think it is just that, stories all or mostly made up in a twisted mind. I doubt his stories are true, he said he only does safe guys becasue he doesn't want STD's and then does the the safe guys raw .. he is taking his chances because the "safe" bottom guys could be lying, might have STD's and he could catch something he doesn't want.

 

The one blog entry he has in there called "Rape?" is sick if that's true...he basically confessed to raping someone if it's true.

He sounds demented though.

 

Thing is, if it is fiction, presented as fact... it's still not that bad compared to some of the stuff you'll find on-line. To be honest, I'm more confused by the reaction; the fact that he seems to have so many readers, and that almost all of them seem totally in contempt of the guy. I don't understand why anyone would want to read something that would piss them off so much - especially when, taken as fiction or even as fact - it's basically as bland and repetitive as any number of gay erotic works I've skimmed through.

My point being, it's hardly The 120 Days Of Sodom, is it.

I find the blog to be really interesting and I enjoy reading it. However, I don't agree with his actions (specifically the GHB date rape, and cutting a hole in the condom). Other than that I don't have any issues with it.

 

Read the blog. There's a post there where he basically raped some guy in a public bathroom, another time where he cut a hole in a condom and fucked a guy, and I only read the FIRST page.
