Well I can easily get concerta and I'm wondering how close these are to amphetamines? I don't want to be hooked on meth, so I just need to know. I am sure that I'm well responsible enough to limit myself, but just incase...
I wouldn't go for concerta, not much recreational use, if your looking to tweak, get some adderall or ritalin.
concerta is only bad because it is in extnded release form. the drug is methylphenidate, which is pretty much an amphetamine with more specific action in your brain. it has more mental and less physical effects than other amphetamines. i love the stuff, sometimes better than meth. but since its in tablet form, its much less likely youll just turn into an addict. but its much nicer when snorted, obviously. mixing it with weed is perfect imo. but yeh, ritalin comes in non extended release and has the same thing as concerta, its easier to use (smaller pills too). adderall IS amphetamine so you may as well treat it as such if you come across some
There is definite structural homology between Concerta, which is time released Ritalin (methylphenidate), and methamphetamine. There are however, significant differences. Pharmacologically it is closer to cocaine, but its not inactivated or cleared out of the synapse nearly as fast and this is why scientists believe it is much less addicting. Taking Concerta shouldn't get you hooked on meth, it might get you hooked on Concerta though--it tends to be less addictive then methamphetamine, amphetamines, or cocaine. Whether you get addicted or not depends on numerous factors. What's your purpose? The buzz (if any) from Concerta or any time released methylphenidate is mild. ymmv
Concerta is just like speed. It makes you do the opposite of what its supposed to. You suddenly feel like you have to walk around everywhere and hug everyone. Its a wierd hyper feeling.
