Just some questions about concert tripping...

Tool is comming to my town in a couple months, they are my favorite band of all time and i really really REALLY wanna dose for it; there are just a couple things im concerned about

Ive tripped at many festivals, Bonnaroo included, but it was in a giant open fied so i didnt really get clostraphobic, and the music volume wassnt that big of a deal (music thats too loud gets overwhelming for me easily on acid). Every indoor conert ive ever been to has been though has been sooooo loud and almost everytime the levels of instruments seem a tad disproportioned. I was just wondering to anyone thats tripped at a show like this if either the trapped in feeling or extreme loudness and resonant sounds ever became an annoyance...should i bring some foam earplugs just in case???

PS im not worried about geekin or anything, i know i can handle it,..especially for tool, just wondering about the factors mentioned above

IDK man loud music is the shit for me, but I am not a big fan of tool. I wuold bring earplugs if loud music is too much for you. If you like the band that much you should be fine... I wouldn't eat too many hits though.

If u feel the need for ear plugs bring them. Otherwise indoor concerts kick ass.I enjoy indoor and outdoor the same so makes no different for me. But alot of my mates thought the same thing as u but as soon as we were in the doors and the band kicked in there was no time for ear plugs just loud music. Enjoy

I once tripped at primus and had to knock some kid out while i was tripping face because my shoe fell off and he started trying to throw it I yelled at him like 10 times and he wouldent give it back so i full out clocked him in the eye and he fell back into some chick and almost knocked her over. Metal shows aare fucking crazy.

i hear ya... i would take only one hit and have a mellow trip. if that turns out to be not good enough at least you will know for next time. it would suck to be too high and get freaked out.

one hit and a few joints can be a good trip! ... tool is one of my favorites.

I'd much rather go to a Kreator concert or something, but I think that I'd do just fine on a couple hits at a concert, knowing that the trip goes where your mind takes you, and you've taken your mind to the one of the greatest things you could, live music you love. How could you not be in bliss?

Sure, the music might be loud, but its music you like, right? PLAY IT LOUD! lol.

I have lawn tickets to see Tool outdoor and am saving some acid for that...

concerts are one of the BEST places to trip. especially aband like Tool where many people there will be dosed. if the music is too loud stop listening with your ears and start listening with your bones.

saw nine inch nails recently and tried so hard to get acid but had to settle for some e. still, it was incredible.

one of my most intense trips was at a concert. it was at my old university, which was weird in itself because i was forced to re-evaluate the reasons why i'd been so unhappy as a student (in contrast to my feelings during the show, which were high, so high).

my experience of the music and the sunshine and the people was totally enhanced, but the aftermath was quite unexpected. fortunately i had a guide on my spiritual journey, who had only taken a third of the ammount i ingested. we spent the evening in his backyard talking things over. both got a few things off our chest and learned a hell of a lot.

and here i was just wanting to have fun! who knew...

if you really love the band then the loudness probably won't be hectic for you, you would be on positive vibes and therefore have a good time probably. The only thing i would wonder about is getting claustrophobic from all the people around you but you would probably be fine cos of the excitement from seeing the band you love. I saw Tool's 3 hour long set at a festival last year and it was brilliant, though i wasn't on any acid lol.

Though there is the possibility that people will start a mosh pit somewhere in the crowd, I would probably stay away from that cos it could get antagonizing.
