Computer PSU upgrade question

    My current PSU on my second machine is a EVO labs Pentium4 450w. It's became very noisy on bootup and then, after a few weeks, it died.

    Is there any limit to the power of the PSU that can be installed, without breaking anything else? Should it be as simple as adding a bigger power output and ensuring all necessary plugs are available?
