my computer sometimes has troubling loading on the desktop, on some instances I have to keep restarting it until it completely loads. when it does load successfully it starts to work fine, but on random it just turns off!!!? not that long ago I cleaned the interior ..... so does anyone know what could possibly be the problem?...
*UPDATE well, today my girlfriend and I just finished cleaning main cooling fan, and the computer seems to be working great it was pretty dusty. i think the problem was the dust. im now going to start cleaning our computer every 1 1/2 months.
*UPDATE OK, not that long ago when i wrote the previous message my computer turned off!!??? can anyone suggest any solutions??
You've most likely got programs running in the background. Cleaning the CPU fan was good and that would have helped a lot. Download Spybot search and destroy and try and get rid of anything you don't need.
yeah i disabled automatic start up programs, which i guess wasn't the problem. i thought that would end my problems but something else was malfunctioning maybe i should try re-cleaning the interior?? spybot hmm? is it a safe program???
Yeah, i use to have a computer that kept crashing, and it just got more and more frequent, it sucks, i hope your computer works better.
Well it's hard to put a finger on it. It could be anything! Spybot Search and Destroy is a great program and completely trustworthy and it usually finds things others don't. That it, of course, if there is something to be found. If I'm facing a problem like this I just go wthrough all the possibilities with these programs and, if I must, it comes down to reformating the hard drive. That's much easier .
Yeah. I would say that if there's not really anything on the computer that's too important, move what you do want onto a DVD or USB drive and format the hard drive and then reinstall your operating system. That's probably your best bet if you want to determine whether it's a hardware or software issue. And motherboards themselves aren't particularly expensive, though the repair itself might cost you a bit. If you know someone that does computer repair though, you might be able to get them to do it for you. But I'm guessing that it's probably a software issue based on the fact that you can start up your computer fine consistently, and you seem to run in to issues once it's booted up. As forementioned, a spyware program may be a good start if you don't want to go so far as reformatting your computer.
