compulsive liars

I can't stand compulsive liars. I have a friend thats one. Not so much a friend anymore because of this. I just can't take it anymore. Iv known plenty of them in my life, how about you?

 

Ive met a few. Its amusing talking to them sometimes, but it gets annoying hearing lies all day.

 

I work with one. He angrily defends his lies.. including the gem that when he was a kid in Arizona, Metallica played at his backyard birthday party before they hit it big. Almost everything he spews is bullshit. If he told me what my given name is, I'd have to check my driver's license just to be sure.

 

I like those people. Not the malicious ones, but the idiotic "story tellers". They are entertaining. I often ask them lots of questions and subtley point out inconsistancies as if I am lost in the story to see how long they can keep it up and how fast they can think on their feet.

 

I used to have a class with one. It was really annoying.

 

I also like to one up them to see what they come up with to beat me. You get completely outlandish stories that way.

 

I knew a girl like that in high school...we only kept her around to have wild stories to listen to, and to be able to make fun of the BS later. Holy crap, she was full of shit. The guys kept her around because apparently she had perfect tits and could mesmerize with them. She also would do ANYTHING you dared her to do. ANYTHING. An attention whore moreso than a compulsive liar, though, I think.

 

I have a relative like this... I just don't take it seriously.

 

The friend i'm talking about likes to tell the same story at every party and the story changes every time! he must forget I hear it all the time. Lol.. he told it last night again about how he threw a bunch of cans of gas into a dumpster one time and threw an artillery shell firework in there and blew it up and all the cops in town came and you could see the flames for miles. He changed it up this time by saying the cops busted down his door and interogated him the next day .. lol, dumbass...

 

the idiotic storytellers can be fun from time to time, but even that gets annoying fast. unfortunately, most people i meet like that are the malicious type (including, most unfortunately, an ex-roommate and a current employee)

 

As far as teh employee, just fire his ass. You're non-union right?

 

yeah, i've been tempted several times, but besides the fact that he's an asshole, he's better at his job than anyone else i have right now...

 

not to mention the fact that i strongly suspect he will sue if there is any sort of gray area about his termination...




i could go into more detail, but i think i should probably keep quiet on that for the moment
