Is it bad that I find find the phrase "committed to further personal development" to be hilariously insipid, utterly ludicrous, & an echo of a very deeply flawed societal ideal?
Sound a bit like 'Shows great potential for improvement', which is a bit of a backhanded compliment if you think about it.
Sounds like the typical thing they tell you to put on a resume, hollow and meaningless, but looks good to your average recruiter.
The phrase seems beautiful to me. It reminds me of the issue of a person being fine with themselves vs. wanting to better themselves.
