So I got my first tattoo about a week and a half ago, and it has a lot of red in it. It started peeling a little bit ago and the red has lightened up alot more than I thought it would but other than that, it looks pretty good. I get a free touch up so I'm just curious if its alright for the red to fade when its in one huge area together like mine? Id post some pics but I have no idea how to do all of that shit so...

Somewhat normal to fade a little... not much though. The color should be bright still..

    Professionally done?

Yeah, it was professionally. After I got to work today it didn't look as bad as it did this morning.Theres not really any scabs left so I guess without blood being right next to it, it doesnt look extreme lol.

Depends on how dark your skin is, how much it's been exposed to sun and water, etc. A tattoo is really deep in the skin, so after it heals, all the bright color you've been seeing in the top layer of skin has died and been replaced by fresh skin, and you're essentially looking through a layer of normal skin at the tattoo. Also, if you don't put sunblock on it, or if you exposed it to sun within the first two weeks, it'll fade, and if you swam or took a bath or soaked it at all while it was healing, it could have messed it up. I'd ask your artist what they think though.
