I was hving lunch with my dad the other day and he asked me what i wanted to do. I told him that i wanted to be a mecanic and go to collage to study Roman latin and Paranormalism. All he said was no. I was like what? He said the he's not leting me be a mecanic cus they don't get good pay. When i was little he said that i could be whatever i wanted to be when i grew up and he would suport me. LIAR! Hes retarded. He said that im not going to use Latin or paranormalism ever. Total lie. he knows i love that stuff. He's being an ass. Do you guys thing i should get to do this stuff?
when you're old enough to work i think your dad will change his mind. if not then get a job, study to become a mechanic, and save up money and move out when you're old enough, mature and responsible enough. butter your dad up and offer him free service on his car.
Parents forget sometimes that they had a chance to do what they wanted and kids are just looking for that same chance. My oldest daughter wanted to be an art teacher when she was young. She is really good at drawing but after 1 college art class, she said the college instructor took all the fun out of art so she quit. Then she thought of working in the health field & seeing as I was a nurse's aide at the time I thought it was great. But the last couple years she has been working in the kitchens of restaurants...which I guess is good cuz she loves to cook. It might take u awhile...but do whatever it is that u enjoy cuz you'll be the 1 doing it.
I made a collage once, it was pretty... I think I was like 8 and we had to do it for art class... I cut up pictures of trees and glued them together to form one big ass tree out of many trees.
Well... I like to look at our country's education, or rather, my own state/commonweath's department and think of it as collage on display for everyone to see, yet nobody really cares anymore because there are new, smaller, more quality pieces of art on display.
hm is it just me, or do you people not know how to spell college? Or maybe that's a foreign thing? Humor/Humour [example]
Uh...but that was intentional (except for the OP) and... I'm pretty sure I'm not foreign (unless y'all folks in Jersery consider your portion of the states to be the union again) and neither are any of they, besides our favorite resident jew. Though, I'm sure he has enough sense to use them both in the right context. I think it's just you. Haha, that sounded like something a total dick would say. I kinda like it. Man, I am ticked off right now. Gosh darnit. Hawhaw.
hey now, theres nothing wrong with state schools. some of them are great. i got into many private well known schools (georgetown, nyu, etc.) and chose a state school instead because of its science program. so don't go dissing them. a school is what you make of it.
Actually, my state schools are generally overflowing with the new england elite that see UVA, William & Mary, JMU, Radford, and the like as a cheaper alternative to ivy league schools of the North, being fairly well established. Then there's the folks that go to places like Duke. Then all of us from VA often migrate down to NC and do the same. It's ridiculous and it drives the prices up. I don't care if their parents want to own a farm down here, retire, and breed horses like the everyone else in this state tries to do. In fact, my former neighbor, a member of the US congress, did it. If I see another Jeep Grand Cherokee/Volvo driving Dave Matthews Fan/50 cent fan with popped collars smoking a wu or a new yorker with his homies from Bridgeport, I am going to pop a cap in someone's monkey ass. Though, I have nothing against them. It gets old.
You can make really good money as a mechanic, depending on what you're doing. If you are replacing factory parts for cars in some random garage then I can see his point. But I've found that there is really good business for custimizing autos. For me..... it's an art, and I've seen people pay high dollar for an "artist" to do basic changes to their vehicle. Working on heavy machinery can be pretty profitable if you go the right way about it. There is money to be made in everything, you just have to find a way to get a ride on the train.....
People will throw money at you for anything these days, if you know what you're doing. Just look at the dept. of treasury and the house... they lost a forklift load of money as if it were just a weekly shipment of toilet paper for the politicians' shitters.
when i was 13.... lets just say i could not nearly predict the events of the next 6 years. don't go planning so far ahead, though everyone needs to learn on their own. however, you really dont want to do anything that may keep you from doing whatever you end up wanting to do (i.e. drugs, alcohol, unprotected sex). be smart
...and always carry a fat stick of reefer to prevent those things. Looks like y'all are doing a fine job. According to the dea's silly, but informative, excel graphs... at least. Man, that looks like alot of cheeba being toked up in that graph there. Gosh, I hope those people quit doing pot. And amen to that bruddah... http://www.dea.gov/ongoing/legalization.html SUPPORT THE DEA!!!
when i was caught with pot i was told by a state employee that there is no such thing as marijuana rehab?
That's because there really isn't... That kind of thing just can't be taken seriously, in my opinion. But there is a Marijuana Anonymous. A friend of mine graduated from the program to find hookups... he keeps the keychain they gave him with "MA" and the logo and whatnot clipped to his bong . He tells me that it was like Summer camp or something.
