Hi All, I'm a big fan of smoking up watching my goldfish. Do any of you guys know of any comfy coffeeshops where i can have a nice chilled smoke and watch a really nice fishtank?
not that I know of.. what you could do however is toke up and go to a zoo.. especially the on in Arnhem (about 1 hour by train from Amsterdam, then a bit by a trolly bus, which is a nice experience in itself), 'Burgers Zoo'. They have three very large indoor parts: the desert, the bush and the ocean. They ocean might be of your interest.. it has HUGE fishtanks, including one where you walk in a glass tunnel surrounded my water.. very awesome. You start your 'experience' with the more shallow waters.. and then you are 'submerged' untill it's litteraly over your head. The website of the zoo itself: www.burgerszoo.nl On of the smaller ones: Fishies: One of the bigger ones: I can really recommend this zoo, even though I'm a bit weary about animals in captivity usually. It's ofcourse totally different from a fishtank in a coffeeshop and I you wouldn't be allowed to sit there and smoke, but just buy some spacecake and have the time of your life there! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
why doesn't it surprise me that the Rotterdam version would be better according to you? Maybe if you could provide some pics, links etc it would be easier to compare..
Not been there for a while but if I recall correctly Dolphins coffee shop have one. The pic below is from the Bulldog, it's a lamp shade thats directly infront of your face as you sit down at the front of the shop over looking the canal.
maybe fedor thinks that because they are big they eat a lot of fish so big penguins = a lot of fish closeby Yeay.. let's get stoned and look at all the dead penguin food.. hehe
i used to have a thirty five gallon fish tank with like a million guppies it was awesome..a bitch to clean though
All businesses would be smart to have a fish tank near the entrance (Chinese restaurants know this), because it's good Feng Shui! It can mean the difference between success & failure of a business.
i always wondered why all the restaurants in china town had fish tanks. i thought it was for fresh fish
Claire and I went to Dolphins in Amsterdam before parting ways last December. They have similar lampshades/hanging lamps with fish swimming around in them. And the coral decor really adds to the atmosphere. Might want to check that one out on Kerkstraat.
Brandend Zand @ Marnixstraat 92 (Amsterdam) has a huge vertical fishtank Quote: The upright designer aquarium may be an aesthetically pleasing addition, but chances are the fish dont really like having to swim so vertically. Jon
