hmm my mum has a bottle of prescription codinex cough syrup, active ingredient is of course codeine. Says theres an equivalent of 11.8mg of codeine per every 5ml dosage. Not too informed on opiates...wondering if anyone knows what this would be like recreationally, not really thinking about trying it but id like to know all the same

I've done codeine once, and just blanked out with a smile on my face, it seemed like there was a lot of potential for habitual use so I haven't tried it since.

what other active ingredients are there.. cuz to get high on codeine you are gonna have to drink that whole bottle... lol... and well im guaranteeing you there are other ingredients in there that could make your life very bad
220ml i think, is 11.8 strong for cough syrup though? theres no other active ingredients apart from codeine phosphate (15mg) which equals 11.8mg of codeine
WTF? I hate that shit. It doesn't make sense. I guess it has something to do with the molecular weight. Codeine is methylmorphine and it's demethylated into morphine in the body. There's 44 of those doses in that bottle. Which means there's like 519mg's of codeine overall. Assuming the bottle is full. Try taking 50mL. That's ~120mg. With no opiate tolerance that should have you feelin' pretty nice. Does opiate cough syrup taste as bad as OTC cough syrup does? I always though OTC cough syrup tasted so bad to deter people from getting high off of it. Because it could certainly taste better.
how about adverse effects? 50ml isnt that much really, i wouldnt mind that some previous experience with codeine but that was stupid, i was talked into taking neurofen plus which had 8mg of codeine....but also a whole load of other shit, turned me of that sort of stuff completely but this is prescription only so i dunno
If codeine is the only active ingredient then you're totally good. If you're worried about taking 120mg's, try starting with 60mg's (25mL)

you'll have to look it up by your specific state. i don't think it's the only active ingredient, like there's probably dxm in it aswell. if you do find that it's legal, go back to the pharmacy counter and ask for some. i think it's usually called like tussin-x? or something? you'll have to sign in a book, and there's probably a dailiy limit as well as a monthly limit as to how much you can buy. if you start going over, the feds r gunna get ya.
neurofen plus is over the counter here and that has codeine in it...i bought it with no questions when i was 15...other active things in it too though
