I just got a 200 ml bottle of this from a friend and I was planning on taking it this weekend, but I have seen more negative reports from people who have used cough syrup than good ones. This leads me to believe that it may not be worth doing. As far as I know i'm not allergic to anything, and Ive had only good experiences with opiates before (hydrocodone and darvocet). My questions are, how many milligrams of codeine per ml, should I take it, and how much should I take?
So, the codeine+promethazine is a pretty nice syrup combo. Obviously you should be careful - taking too much promethazine can be harmful. Check the bottle to find out how many mg per ml. from there, i'd say if you've never tried codeine start with 50-80mg and see how you feel. if you're feeling good, then there you go. once gain, be careful to look up what a dangerous dose of promethazine is - don't want to go drinking to too much of that!
no, the bottle doesnt say how many mgs of either drug, just that there is 200 ml altogether. Is there a standard mg/ml ratio or what?
Everybody talks about promethezine cough syrup, but I think the best cough syrup to take is Hydron/notussin. I asked my doctor for some histinex a couple of years ago, I knew that it would give me the same buzz as taking hydrocodone pills. I thought he would be less suspicious of me asking for cough syrup than for hydro pills. He told me he would give me something better than histinex, disappointed, I went and got the prescription filled, turns out it is way better. I get a very strong intense hydro buzz from the hydron syrup than I do the pills, of course I have to take about 45 ml, five times more than what the instructions say to take. I have found that if you can't get your doctor to prescribe you hydros or you're afraid to ask, just ask for that. I always wait until I'm conjested before I ask, which is usually around three times a year. He will give me one 240 ml bottle with one refill. I had low expectations before I took the cough syrup. If I had a choice between 10mg hydro or the hydron cough syrup, I would take the cough syrup. The only downside is having to take several swallows of something that makes you want to gag, but once you get it all down, just sit back and wait.
