So I never really like "set out" to co-sleep with my babies, Lily practically preferred to sleep by herself when she was a baby.. mya, not so much. So I figure as long as she wants to sleep with me that's fine, but she has given herself an 8:00 bedtime, and I dont go to bed at that time, so I usually lay in my bed with her until she falls asleep and then I put her in her crib and then she wakes up anywhere from 3:30 to 6:30 and then I nurse her and we both fall asleep in my bed until about 9 when Lily wakes up. Ok, now My husband is a heavy sleeper, he is known to roll over on ME sometimes, and for that reason I like her to sleep on the outside, with me in the middle. now I usually have my arm around her while we sleep but pretty soon she is going to start rolling over, and I'm scared she is going to roll of the bed. Should I get some of those toddler bars or whatever they are called? I saw pac-n-play looking things that open up to go next to your bed, but she likes to be right next to me, so i dont know if she would like that, so what did you guys do??? thanks!
Moire is that kid. hahaha. I sleep with her right against me, in the crook of my arm, like your Mya. And she still sleeps there, even though she rolls around and such. Because the great thing about the momma-baby sleep bond, YOU respond to HER sleep pattern and SHE responds to YOURS as well. So unless baby girl falls out of your bed, don't worry about it. Moire's been sleeping in my bed since the day she came home, and she's not fallen out yet! But if if does worry you, get a co-sleeper (the pack in play thingy).
Do you own a crib? Or a twin bed? If you put an extra bed against your bed, and make your bed bigger, that might ease your mid about her falling out. Or put your bed against a wall, and line the edge with pillows. Co-sleeping is such a gift to your baby, good for you!
you could get one of these http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...-2230555?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000EW3GGO or move you bed to a wall and have her sleep next to the wall. that's what i've done in the past. we have an extra big bed for this reason
