CNN is really not helping

There is a story on CNN this morning about a woman who got addicted to her medical marijuana. She was smoking 8 joints a day.
Marijuana is not physically addictive, but they're making it seem like it's some dangerous thing. There're people in the lobby here that saw the story and are discussing it. They are talking about what a dangerous drug it is and what a terrible state our country is in that they want to legalize it. They are just perpetrating the myth. Thanks a lot CNN.:toetap05:

The news tries to make it look like they aren't biased but they are. Its just media fucknuts tricking people into believing stupid shit. Some freaks actually believe everything they see on the tv.

I thought CNN was actually one of the good ones. A couple months ago they did a poll to see if people actually thought marijuana should be legalized and they reported that most people were saying yes. Now they go and spew out this story.

marijuana can be addicting, just like pretty much anything else. but it is kinda lame how they're just showing one side of the story. i dunno. why don't they do a report on the positive effects right after that story or something? would be sweet if the media decided to inform rather than go for ratings one of these days.

 

That's the point I thought you were making. But I wanted to make sure. You have been know to come out of left field.
But I totally get what you're saying. I've never understood it either. Even my mom who is against all drugs doesn't understand how marijuana is illegal but alcahol is easily aquired. She doesn't drink except on rare occasions, but she says the only problem with marijuana and the only reason that she doesn't use it, is the legality issue. My own mother would be smoking pot if it was legal. Not a big deal for some folk, but if you knew my mom, your jaw would be hanging open right now. lol

 

Marijuana is addicting in the same way that a good book can be addicting. People like the way it makes them feel. But it doesn't stay in your system long enough to be physically addicting. You do not suffer withdrawls. You can go from smoking every day for a year to a dead stop without any adverse side effects. You may turn into a jerk because you're adjusting to sober life again, but you don't have headaches or vomit or anything like that. It's harder to get off cigarettes or alcohol than pot. People have been know to die from heroin withdrawls. That's not gonna happen with marijuana.

 

That girl was ugly! I bet she wishes she died(not to be mean, I'd kill myself in her place.

 

If I was burned badly I would beg for death. Not because of how I would look after, but the recovery is supposed to terribly painful. You are in pain for the rest of your life. I already told my family to go ahead and kill me if I'm burned like that. Had she been the drunk driver herself, she probably would have been flamable enough not to survive.
