Just had the NICEST barefoot walk on a very humid 70-degree morning on rainsoaked streets and pavements. Everything felt so warm and soft under my bare soles. Why doesn't EVERYBODY do this??? Wait a minute...What? Chocolate AND vanilla? Never mind.
After going barefoot as much as possible the last 2 years or more, I can't imagine staying in shoes all the time. It is like losing a sense that I have just aquired. Plus I like the challange of seeing how well I can condition my feet take almost anything. Shoes have gone from being an essential part of my clothes to nothing more than tools to be used as the situation calls for (work, etc). I would no more wear shoes all the time now than I would wear gloves all day.
I couldnt agree more, I have a pair of boots and a pair of cycling shoes. They are just what you say, tools. The boots are for safety if I need them, the cycling shoes are for my bike and clip in my pedals. I cannot imagine how weird it would be to wear shoes all the time.
