Hi all! I am new here, but not on other forums, like Clusterheadaches.com and ClusterBusters.com. Yes, as you guessed I am a cluster headache sufferer.(CH for short) A little bit of history: I now suffer from this condition - you can look it up on the internet and YouTube - for 21 years. My cycles lasts from 3 months to about 12 months. All the available medications, plus alternative therapies and extreme self inflicted therapies such as: Blood letting Electrical shock therapy Hanging Drowning Home study Acupuncture Magnetic pulse therapy Poisoning, etc. have been experimented with over these years. You might think me mad but if you read, watch and understand the pain I endure you will understand and appreciate that I am still here and haven't given up on life .... yet. I must be honest, there were moments. End 2006, while living in Mozambique, Africa, and after a conference in America on CH and getting involved with the study of Dr's Halpern and Sewell, Harvard, on the effects of LSD on CH, I actually sourced it and tried it. In all these years, this was the first thing that allowed me a 3 year respite. I am in cycle once more and plan to travel to the Netherlands to get help. It is not as if I have not tried here in Australia to get help. My conversation and all the evidence plus research was brought in front of my local GP, who contacted the Chemist, Neurologist and Psychiatrist, but nothing can be done. As I appreciate the medical proffesion and a liberal enough Doc, I cannot understand for the life of me why after their oath not to do harm and let people suffer, they still deny me the only medication proven to work. I have gone underground but with no pleasure. BTW: I am not a user or abuser. I haven't used LSD since Mozambique, that brought an end to my cycle. My question after this long winded monologue is: if anyone has experience on the legal issues and ways of getting into trouble or getting the wrong stuff when in Amsterdam? Thanks for reading CHJazz
I don't know about your question... but I have a question for you. I am just curious to know. How much does cannabis help? Have you ever tried cannabis strains that were bred for treating migraines? And have you ever taken a high dosage of cannabis, like swallowing hash, enough of it to essentially be psychedelic. And how did that work out?
Hi rygoody, thanks for your question. Yes, I have tried cannabis and hash. The problem with this is that it does the total opposite to psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, baby woodrose and morning glory seeds. Cannabis and their derivatives are actually vasso dialators and work with the wrong receptors of the brain. Thus they increase the Cluster Headache. LSD and the above mentioned products actually have similar chemical structures and are the only known drugs that not only relieve a headache but stops a cycle. There is no legal medication on the market that have actually done this for me.
I do not know the laws and risks involved in this in Australia, but any chance of growing your own mushrooms in order to have a supply on hand for life?
I remember learning about this from the inside LSD documentary on NatGeo, and it infuriates me to no end the lack of understanding people have towards the effects of this chemical and its healing powers it does for people in your situation. As far as your question goes, I'm so sorry I don't have an answer, all I can tell you is that there are spore vendors online that you can try to purchase from covertly, and even online LSD vendors to buy from. Keep fighting the good fight brother, you're plight is in my thoughts.
I think i saw that doco too. Didn't they say there was a non-psychoactive version of LSD now made specifically for this? Maybe look into that?
Grinners, they are in the process of developing this non-psychoactive version but according to my knowledge it is still not available to the public.
It's called Bromo-LSD. I believe clinical trials are underway in Switzerland for cluster headache treatment, but not in the U.S., have no knowledge about it in Australia. Treating cluster headaches with LSD and Psylocibin doesn't require a psychedelic dose, my understanding is that even just a threshold dose can bring relief. In my opinion your best bet would be to try getting some mushrooms & spores and possibly grow your own. Best of luck to you in this battle.
