Do you support human cloning? Would you want one of your young relatives cloned back if they suffered an illfated death like a murder or explosion? What if their conciousness would be preserved and placed in the new clone, would you want to? What if you were the one going to be cloned back from death, would you?
no because it would just be the same body. it would look like your buddy that died, but its not. they will have different thoughts and different emotions and views. plus i bet after a while they would feel isolated. they would feel like they arent real. they are fake people. they arent as good as natural born people. theyd feel alone. and geurenttee you most people wouldnt accept them as humans. they would think of them as lower, not worthy to be like us. prejudice would evolve. so no, i do not support it

i don't see how cloning could make a better future, if we were clones we might be better at immitating each other but immitating each other is one of the more messed up things about now. and there certainly isn't any shortage of us. now if we could recombinantly geneticly cosmeticly shape chainge so we could be more different (and i think more attractive) from each other, now THAT might contribute to a better future. not as signiffigantly as understanding the connection between priorities and probabilities, but at least pointy ears, fur, and floofy prehensile tails would make us all prettier to look at. =^^= .../\...
Well, lets say you lose your legs in a car accident in the future. If cloning is permitted they can grow you some new legs and by then medical tech will be advanced enough so that you can be reunited with them. Cloning can make a better future! sorry, but i'd rather have mechanical legs if i had to, then those of some organism, grown in a vat, to have them robbed from. there is cloning and there is cloning. while i would not want to see full human clones and the abuses to which they might be put, i have no objection to the cloning of certain tissues and organs, just as tissues and organs, not as as whole living organisms, other then those which would taste good but have no centran nervious system to feel pain or possess awairness of existence. in short, meat mountains, always fresh, that you could cut another slice off of without injuring them and they would just keep growing more meat as long as their nutrient solution was maintained, just like you pick fruit off a tree, that you water and fertilize. leggs were a poor example. and long as i have hands and can park myself in front of a keyboard and be creative using other tecnologies, they are not entirely indispensable. much as i do, when i get the chance, like to go for long walks in the woods. there are no panacea, only the connection between priorities and probabilities, and the real, personal as well as collective, advantages, to the avoidance of causing suffering and harm. =^^= .../\...
