"As we have seen this year with tragic effect in the Bahamas and Mozambique, sea-level rise and intense tropical storms led to humanitarian and economic catastrophes."


I'd say devistation in the Bahamas was 99.99999% due to the giant fuckin hurricane, 0.000001% due to the supposed 1.6 millimetre sea level rise

life what is it good for?.... absolutely nothing.. say it again...

 

Many things are good about life. Life has the potential to be grand, and many would argue that it is already. Maybe one day, but first we must take care of the hungry and the homeless, and the children and the tiny tots. For there are many bad things about life as well.

But to say that all of the precious moments that we have shared amount to nothing...well, count me out, jack horner.

You see, I have lost people I have loved, and I'm not willing to cash in the mustard just yet, Colonel Mustard!

 

life is all about smoking doobies, snorting coke, drinking beers, fucking bitches, cause God gave rock and roll to ya....

 

These aren't the things that captivate me, jack horner. I like the dark places, the deep deep dark.

I'm glad so many people on Hip are concerned for our environment. Too many doobies going around I think.

 

You cannot save yourself from your own stupidity, much less, anyone else. So I tell people to learn how to laugh at yourself as if you didn't have a care in the world. Clutch at your own stupidity attempting to control it, and you merely make it worse.

Not me. I will introduce them all to Mother Nature, and they will learn the true meaning of Three Stooges slapstick. They will be confronted with the simple fact that they are literally killing themselves and each other, and reproducing less, because they adamantly refuse to share their words and play nice. I will even show them how to encourage each other to die faster, and those few who actually decide to try and share their words and play nice, will have to confront Mother Nature. Spook a Chicken hard enough, and all the bullshit denial goes flying in the wind.

Climate change is not the problem, about 2,000 years or so of institutionalized denial is the problem. Hence, academics are the obvious first target.

 

Well I did expect at least some sensible replies. I'm still hopeful.

 

Belief is a colorful hope or fear, the beginning of folly. The sage dwells within the fruit, not the flower, she accepts substance, and ignores bullshit.

Stopping climate change will change nothing, if all the animals are dead and the entire environment polluted, while Donald Duck insists we charge China for polluting the air. Maybe we can charge Rio for being dirt poor.

 

But what is a sensible reply?
What do you want? A solution? Agreement?

Not saying you shouldn't post things, I like to read news other members here find relevant, but you can hardly expect much conversation from it. No need to accuse everyone of not caring.

 

The first million young people just went on strike for a day, and defied their bosses to fire them, protesting global warming and environmental destruction. My poetry is public domain, and contains metaphors and jokes they can use to help them organize and fight the good fight. Being public domain, I'm hoping every song writer and Jewish comedy producer gets a hold of them and has fun. Senior citizens are also now coming forward, insisting protecting their grandchild's future is not a political issue up for debate.

You say you want a revolution... well...you...know... it helps to have a script! Shake your hips, get down and funky, get their fucking attention or go home! The Cultural Revolution was practice for what is to come, with every country in the developed world going through its own version of the Cultural Revolution. Within the last month alone, I have written two poems that could easily win a $100,000.oo prize and it is very likely my book will win a five million dollar Nobel prize, and I intend to support Jerry's Kids and every other fucking kid!

My poetry is so mathematical, that computers will soon crank out jokes by the thousands, including countless ways to make conservatives look like complete fucking idiots hell bent on destroying the planet. With the AI applications, they will crawl under their desks out of shame.
