i never thought 'no' was hateful,
though the beautiful of 'yes' weighed heavily on my mind
now i am beyond the question, and i'll never know my daughter,
i ponder that as i soak in the bath water.
the plants i placed around my tub tickle my forearm,
and where are you but in the foreground of all those thougts.
i sit for an hour, provoked,
until i muster up the resolution to lather up my wash cloth
i wash my body and face,
and my ****-- and i'm clean of you.
