When I was a kid 30 years ago, Sesame Street was good quality TV for kids and was entertaining for the parents also. It's not the same show anymore. I wish my nephews Matt, Nathaniel, and Christopher could watch the classic Sesame Street my brother, two sisters, and I grew up with. I also would like for them to be able to watch The Electric Company. That was another CTW show that was good for the whole family. HEY YOU GUYS! Please resurrect those old classics for today's kids!

Sesame Street was a lot better in the late 70's early 80's. I also remember the show aired at 7:00 am, now it's 9:00 am. The Electric Company was a good afternoon show.

I left Nicaragua at 6 years old. My first English lessons were Sesame St.! The rest is history, I'm now an English major as consequence of that educational pedagogy. But I'm always going to be Snuffalufaging my way home... to my Cranberry Hills.

I watched it in the late 70's early 80's too. I still get that "electric company" song stuck in my head sometimes.

I was a member of the first first grade class to start school after Sesame Street went on the air...yeah, AIR, not cable...and the last to graduate from HS before the advent of MTV.

I haven't seen Sesame Street for years, when my Mum and Dad were at work I use to stay at my Grandparents cos they were only across the road and I watched it all the time there, I don't know what it ws like i the 70s, but when I watched it (probably about 1998) it was awesome lol.

30 years ago i was 40. lol. when i was little, captain kangaroo was still on. even mr rogers i was already in my teens. flintstones and yogi bear were new. when i was somewhere around ten or twelve.
i think there was something like magic school bus before sesimie street, but i don't remember for sure what it was called. i got pretty tired of porky pig and mickey mouse to tell you the truth, even before i was seven or eight.
