you gotta love eighties movies: the breakfast club, pretty in pink, st elmo's fire, sixteen candles. love em. the fashion, the lingo, the cliche story lines.
John Hughes filmed most of his movies around where i live, some of breakfast club and sixteen candles was filmed at my school.
sixteen candles was great..i don't know if anyone has ever seen "Tough Guys", it has Burt Lancaster & Kirk Douglas in it. I thought that was a pretty good 80's movie.
The Breakfast Club is one of my favourites. I love the plots of movies back then. It's pretty much all about teenagers and school and it's not overdone. Everything is the write amount. The comedy, drama, and pretty much everything else you see in eighties movies.
what about teen witch or lucas? the underrated 80s flicks. or secret admirer or girls just want to have fun or adventures in babysitting =)
I love The Breakfast Club and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! As well as the movies based on S.E. Hinton books: The Outsiders, That Was Then This Is Now, Rumble Fish, Tex. I think these came out in the 80s.
Some others... Heathers (1989) Blue Velvet (1986) E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) Labyrinth (1986) Dark Crystal (1982) Spaceballs (1987) The Shining (1980) Full Metal Jacket (1987) Akira (1988)
-I'm from the '80's and most movies from that time all suck. I'll tell you the best movies from the '80's--all Indiana Jones movies, return of the jedi, platoon, the predator, the natural, Gremlins(the first one).
