loud!!!.. so, how they singing where you are?..

They get pretty loud in the mountains here. Big suckers too.

Thought this was a reference to Terrapin....They're a-buzzin' here...like a phaser on overload...and there is no northwest corner on a brand new crescent moon...

They're brown here. And ugly.

 

not sure why they get louder, some the ones here make little noise and then turn on the Amps.. there has to be a few in the trees right me, I can hear nothing else really but them..

 

The thing is, this is the loudest they have ever been in the city, and in my neighborhood, there are less trees than their used to be...

 

Ya, those things get pretty loud by the bayous and creeks I walk my dog at, but not so much in my neighborhood.

I was driving somewhere and one was in my window and fell on me.. I didnt know what the thing was but also didnt want to know.. I swerved, pulled over opened my door and sort of jumped out my car. this when the police car pulled up behind me, he then saw the thing I was trying to get away from on the ground. I said "big locust in my car" he said "Very well" and got the fuck out of there.. I suppose he was more scared of them than I was..

 

Actually, I just read on Wikipedia today, that they can. And that "locust" is a colloquial name for them, and technically incorrect.

 

fuck them. fuck all bugs. i can't wait until the winter when everything dies.
