That statement by a Christian poster prompted this O. P.

Let us do some bean counting and apply morals to the Christian theology.

Let me make an outlandish statement and see what develops.

Mercy kill your children to guaranty their heaven. It's the right thing to do.

Christian parents are evil parents if they do not mercy kill their children and guarantee salvation. If Christian parents do not force their children onto the narrow path with death, they are immoral parents.

To not kill their children shows that Christians do not really love their children. It is throwing away the child's chance for happiness in the vast majority of cases. It condemns most Christian children to hell.

Check the numbers Christians and promote the human sacrifice whose tradition you already follow. Ie. Jesus, your scapegoat. You owe it to your children to mercy kill them.

If they had killed my friend Kenny earlier in life, he would have stayed in heaven.

Right?

Of course so now apply that reality to your child and if you do not want him condemned then mercy kill him or her. Not to be a bean counter but if my sons were not already condemned, I would kill them if I was a good Christian. Good thing I am just a lowly Gnostic Christian.

Good parents will mercy kill their children before the little heathens can follow their evil God given natures.

Right?

Think of the many, not the few. Save the most for heaven by killing. That is what the bean counters would say.

Actually, that made sense. Julian Huxley would be proud of me. There is only Jack Kavorkian and assisted suicides left to consider. Legalizing the strengthening of the human genetic strain. Humans (according to christianity) have to explain the originating of legally allowing the stronger people to outlive the weaker... individuals.

I don't think it has anything to do with the young individual's "reasoning power" or decision making. There's an assumption being made that all children are inherently good, and they have no guilt to atone for and no penance.

There's something seriously wrong in saying that parents are evil for not killing their children.

 

He does not mean that himself, he just likes to project it on a certain kind of other people and accuse them of being hypocrites for not doing so. Yes, he is messed up.

With those who do not love their children enough, you are correct.

Those who do love their children enough will insure that their children get to the narrow path and not the wide one that goes to hell. The only way to pull them away from danger is to dispatch them to heaven before the age of reason.
