Thsi is a very large site with many members, so I am posting this here, as I did on my Facebook wall, on the off chance that the sitter for this painting sees it. You see, I owe this piece to her. I just didn't remember that when she called my house all those years ago to collect it. This is a piece of my student work from when I was in art school. It was completed in four to six three hour class sessions. Actually, I labored so long over the cello (never actually getting the perspective right) that I never finished her right hand. That hand actually belongs to my boss. Anyhow, I apparently promised this piece to the sitter, Chris, because she liked it so much. I gave her my phone number so she could call me after the shool year was finished and I received my grades. The trouble is, that by the time she got around to calling me I had forgotten all about promising this to her, and I kind of grew fond of it myself, so I never gave it to her. It wasn't until later that I realized my mistake, and then it was too late to correct it. I doubt that she will ever see this, but I am putting it out here just the same. If she does see it still wants it, then it's all hers.
That's a good idea, but she was not a student there. She worked as a model in the life drawing classes. However, there might be a record of her because she was paid by the school for her services. On the other hand, I think I painted this in 1996; the school probably doesn't keep records of models around for that long.
