Is it choice or chance that decides actions and reactions?

    [If you choose Choice]

Well, even choice is a chance. No choice is definitive in the least. All the previous actions done unto you affecting your mood, your personality, your subconscious and your conscious thought all affect the choice you make, all by chance. If you can only see 54 stars in the sky instead of 55 it can completely throw off your decision.

    [If you choose Chance]

Well, even chance is a choice. Sure, rolling the dice, the outcome is somewhat of a chance, but the affects of rolling the dice were your choice. All the things that happen by "chance" can be traced to choices you made. If you get shot on the street, it was your choice to walk down that street and to keep your phone in your jacket pocket, making it look like you were pulling out a gun. Whether you win or lose money from rolling the dice, YOU rolled the dice.

    [If you say Fate]

    Guess again, dodongo.

    lol?

paradoxes are worth contemplation, self-indulgent bullshit is for seals.

If physics can predict motion, then there is no chance of choosing your own fate. It has already been chosen, perchance?

You mean do we are don't we have free will?

Logicaly no we don't have free will... like you said everything effects our decisions... so no chance comes into it... but then the thing about the die being chance... there is no chance... things effect a die to land how it does such as what position you chucked it.. the surface it lands on... the speed you chucked it etc.. chance is an illusion... there is no such thing as 50/50 etc... how can anyone say that theres 50/50 chance of something hapening? if that was the case then nothing woulkd happen at all. Everything has a 100% chance of hapening and thats why it happens....

So if you roll a dice and it lands on a six... there was 100% chance that it was going to happen... because it DID. The 'chance' of things hapening is just a way of explaining how well humans can estimate what will happen... although what is going to happen is already defined.

So basically when you say there is a 1 in 6 chance of a die landing on a 5, what you really mean is that although the outcome is already determined you can only estimate with logic that it will be one of six sides, and you don't know which one.

Ofcourse... saying that wer don't have free will logicaly... brings up a whole load of other mindfucks

Even though we have free will, most things are beyond our control. obviously. everything sort of effects each other in a way, so something that happens to you by chance could be because of someone elses free will.
