So, just made this thread to discuss our childhood here. For most of the people, their childhood is the sweetest and most memorable experience of their whole life. How was your childhood? Did you enjoy your childhood to the fullest and do you ever wish to go back in time? Discuss!!! :daisy:
my childhood was generally good. not perfect, but overall i have no room to complain. i've definitely thought about going back in time, from time to time. i hope it's not really my most memorable experience though, because i don't remember a lot of it.
I had a great childhood but I don't see it as my most memorable experience of my life (although I thought so around age 13/14 ) and expect to top it several times more.
When it was great, then why wasn't it the most memorable experience of your life? I am just asking by the way, if you want to elaborate, otherwise no issues at all. :2thumbsup:
Now I think, the cats seem to be surrounded by you. lol.... It seems as if you are in deep love with the cats.
My memories are like swiss cheese...full of holes. I was abused and have blocked a lot of it out. I've thought about hypnosis to retrieve my past, but maybe it's best to leave it in my past. There were good times, too, but as I said, I don't remember much of my childhood.
Loving cats is nice but eating cat food is not nice at all. I do hope that now you won't like to taste cat food ever again, lol......
Not a very good childhood. I've forgotten a lot of it actually due to traumatization. I always had cats too and I guess they were one of my few escapes from everything going on.
the best thing i can say about my childhood is that it made me a stronger person. i mean, sure, there were good times, and those i choose to remember. but it was rough. divorced parents, custody battle, moves, step siblings...then add to that the not fitting in, the severe lack of friends, and the weird way of thinking and ta-freaking-da. ugh. i remember climbing a tree, and finding these weird things in the tree, and i took one to my mom, and she bit into it and told me that i had found a pear. so some good. many lessons learned.

Oh, this is said to hear. Why was it so mainly? Were you very naughty? Must have been really difficult times.
How could this be? Please elaborate since at least I cannot get what has been tried to say. I think the other way.
I was shy and we lived in an expensive neighborhood where everyone else had a lot more money than us.
If someone offered me a million dollars to re-live my childhood (1 - 18), I would turn them down. Literally...I would seriously turn them down. I got through with my sanity (somehow) intact, though some might debate that. (lol) I'm not sure I could survive, sanity intact, again. Teenage years especially were awful. Eavesdrop, I totally can relate. Only I discovered as an adult that we weren't poor...my mother just acted (and still acts) like the original Scrooge to me (not to my brother). YAY for character building.
OH - and to add - I was the class clown so that people would like me. (gad, it is embarrassing to remember that) Truly I say YAY for internet anonimity! However, that sense of humor has literally helped me (and my sanity) throughout my life.
