My dad twice gave me and my brother serious beatings when we were about 10/11 yrs. old in 198/1. It's dawning on me what a serious crime this was and I'm thinking of doing one or both of the following. Going to the police and pressing charges or going to a solicitors to pursue compensation. Does anyone know if either of these things are possible. Thanks.
im sorry to hear what u was put through as a child no child deserves that i'll be totally honest though im not quite sure theres anything that can be done now as it was so so many years ago, id defiantly urge you to try though, it may be an issure where theres no proof ect but i think its better to try than to never know, sorry i couldnt help more
got a few off my old man too when i was a kid, he wouldn't get away with it now of course but then he's dead and buried, but it did teach me some respect i guess and right from wrong which isn't a bad thing in this day and age to have.
