I just thought I would share I kinda disturbing story...

A few nights ago I was hanging around with my mates at about 11 when a kids step dad, about 33 my guess, randomly, quite a way from his house, walked upto me and headbutted me, I just turned an ran with my mates, then he shouted that if he saw me again he would kick the shit into me even worse. He doesn't know me - he had got it into his head that we tapped on his window. Yes we did, to see if his step-son was in (they get moody if we climb over the gate to the door). We waited 5 minutes, noone answered. Half an hour later this happened.

He didn't make full contact thankfully, but he has certainly messed my nose up. The guy is a nutter, for tapping on his window he, an adult, headbutts a 14 year old. Not right really is it?

So I got home, my dad rang police straight away. They came round, explained stuff - the sentence he will get is a caution! The nutter said he would kick the shit into me, I live barely 200 metres from him in a small village, and he's gonna get a caution. And according to his step son (who we have a suspicious is hit by him and stuff) he is livid about the fact the police are involved

I've took a knife with me anywhere since... and always go in a group. But even still, at night he watches and waits till we move from the safety of right infront a local pub... it's scary stuff.

There are theories we have about him and stuff he gets upto which are pretty dodgy, but I won't go into that.

All I know is it's pretty scary for us... I've been in this situation before, but not nearly as bad as someone quite capable of stabbing me. I feel let down by our justice system... a caution for what is effectivly child assault, and threatening? Hmm... it don't sound right to me.

Anyone else been in situations such as this?

Not all dads are up to it, and he might not have one available !

    Sounds like a bigger story.

All I can say is keep a bit of a low profile. I know you're worried about your mate' who unfortunately has this twat as a stepdad, but you've really got to steer clear of making any contact with the step dad at all. Which unfortunately means not going around his house, but hopefully you'll still see him at school, and if he has a problem with the fact that you reported this tosspot two-bit bully, then he's quite clearly not worth the time of day either! You did the right thing reporting it to the police, but i reccomend that you don't carry the knife any more. If this bloke does have another go and yo pull the knife and he manages to get it off you, he will probably hurt you quite badly! I know you're scared, but try to go about your life normally and steer clear of the so called big man who has to hit a kid to make himself look tough!! But please don't carry the knife!! Good look and try to stay strong, hopefully it'll get better.

Use the Welsh martial art Llap-Goch and take out the bastard before he's aware you're there.

Yeah thanks for you're comments everyone... it's not that I'm that scared in general, just when I'm out and about in the village (very small village also) it's pretty freaky.

Yeah... keepin a low profile is impossible - everyone knows everyone in the village, theres only about 100 people living here, about 50 that are the kinda people everyone knows. And the kids best so, so low profile would never do anything.

I'm not too bothered anymore really, if he comes after me at all he could go down for ages, also I would try run to the pub at any time.

Well that's the thing.. on the night it happened it was a choice... it still is.

One mate wanted to go in, tell parents, ring cops.
2 mates wanted to get bats go round kick him in badly.
And another wanted to leave it and get him back by paintballin his house or summat.

We went with no.1, but might do all 3 still... just now the police know everything it's gotta be easy to know who did it.

Can you not get an injunction out to stop him coming near you?

Oh yeah, my mates would go mental on him. It wasn't the fact that we couldn't have all beaten him, it was that it was just so... unexpected. If someone walks upto you and nuts you without reason, it leaves you pretty stunned.

But leaving it at that? The guys a twat. He could easily do it someone else - I can't believe his wife and kids don't get it.

You'll probably find that his wife and kids do get it. But the sort of coward that he is means that he'll probably do it so you wouldn't be able to tell, like hitting them in stomach or legs or places that nobody else is going to see it. Maybe he doesn't do it to the kids, or you'd probably have noticed something or heard something from your mate, but i would pretty much think that he does it at home quite regularly too. Those sort of cowards tend to.
