Any of you guys any good? I picked it back up this past weekend, still getting back into it. I really wish I hadent stopped practicing for as long as I did! Namaste
let me answer your question with another question: How many Caitlins does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
first question: i was but i haven't played in years. second question: i'd like to think one could do it...
hehehehe.. no I not any good at chess but I dont mind taking a stab at it if there are chess sets around.
I played chess a lot when I was little but recently chess wise I've just been playing mortal kombat chess...
I once beat my bf at poker when he was teaching me how to play. My rule was just 'always bluff'. I never won again after that though.
I didnt consider that beating you, that was more like an accident. I should have said check and I would have if I had realized haha and then Im sure the outcome of the game would have been quite different. I'm too much of a scatterbrain for chess. I mean I like it, I have fun, but I know I'm not good at it, because I dont stay concentrated long enough on what's happening on the board.
me too. I guess real chess players try predict what they'll do a few moves in advance, which gives me a headache. a game of chess is like a sword fight, you must think first before you move.
a week and a half ago my father came home all pissed off...he said he had lost a chess game to a crackhead at work that day...i think i was rip roaring laughing for a good fifteen minutes...then i said that it wasnt a big deal, crackheads just think faster...
i played in high school was the first 4 year chess player at the school...man haha i've been kinda getting back into it...but i'm nowhere near as good as i used to be
Chess is alright. I tend to get crushed by people who've been playing for a long time. Otherwise I do great. The trick is memorizing openings.
The one thing that I cannot stand about Chess is the methodical nature of some players. People memorize openings, and then go through the entire game methodically. I like for every game to be different... so I always open differently and see where I can progress. I've always hated Chess theory and books yet loved the game. Memorization is too easy, the entire fun is in the intellectual challange.
Oh yea man, a friend of mine also invited me to play him on there! We could have a serious game going on I cant play when Im at work but if were ever on after 5, man Im down for sure
