I put this post in the art forum, but earthymama told me it would get more interest in this forum so i thought i'd give it a shot. So here is my furniture hobbie. I just started doing it, and this is my first table. I didn't make the chess board or the pieces inside, but everything else I hand carved out of plywood and poplar. the legs were spindles for stairs, but I hand carved the bottoms of the spindles to look like legs. I think it turned out pretty good. Let me know your imput.
thank you very much. i hope my stuff just improves as i do more. and yes, i take care of all my pieces. i love chess. my set is of robin hood right now. it's robin hood as king,his love interest as queen (honestly i forget her name) , friar tuck as bishop and little john as knight with tree houses for the rooks vrses king richards army on the other side. it's pretty sweet. i want to make my own pieces but i don't have the time to do it right now. i'm thinking merlin vs morgana. we'll see.
