I am planning on going here to visit my ex, that I keep in touch with. I'm currently living in NYC. Always wanted to go to Europe Right now the airplane tickets are about $825 including tax, and these are students discounts Any ideas on a cheaper way to get here. -Thanks
Hello, dreamsDOcomeTRUE. I will try to give help to you. First, please can I ask when you wish to travel to Europe? Also, which city?
what's in your budget, and how much inconvenience can you tolerate? try checking on-line travel sites, and then check carriers individually you might be able to fly into the cheapest destination in europe, and then do ride shares I don't know if it's still the case, but you used to be able to fly cheap on post-peak travel days, e.g., new year's day booking well in advance can sometimes help

I have traveled this way, Vladivostok to Magadan. This was very interesting, maybe my favourite travel, but I also was very sea sick!
Hello, well, I'm here . Riding on a cargo ship was my first thought, too. But I think you can't save much money this way. I haven't looked up the fares, but if you add up the fare for the ship, the additional money you need for food because your journey takes much longer and the money you need to transfer from a harbor like Rotterdam or Hamburg to your final destination you might reach 800 bucks or more rather quick. You might save a few bucks if you fly to Bruxelles or Amsterdam or some smaller airport and then go by train. Regards Gyro
You can get to London (LHR) for $656 with Aer Lingus (9h 35min), then wait 5h and go to Frankfurt at 13:50 with British A. for app. $180 (136€). All together: $836. (With or without tax? Not sure.) The only question is what you value more: time or money.
