above freezing here today so far....but wet and muddy...gonna be traversing a tiny lake to get to the coop...I may have fucked up by moving it to a low spot

can hens swim?

 

Seems like that would be a challenge for hens. Can they float?

 

eggs don't float...if they float they are no good....learned that from my daughter

 

chickens can float, but probably dont like to.

 

Warm here today too (no floating chickens) but dreary and wet. I think I'm missing the colder weather we had earlier this week with the bright sun.

 

We had a mixture of rain and snow overnight, scraping off the car this morning really sucked.

Spending the day in the library... and probably part of the evening. I wanted to go get a beer with my wife afterwards, to relax a bit, but it is St. Patrick's day weekend and I don't think many places will have the relaxed atmosphere I'm looking for lol. Maybe I'll pick up a 6 pack on the way home.

 

ive porkchops marinating since yesterday....couldn't cook them last night because I forgot to buy potatos

so off to town to the general store......I think i'll get some marshmallows too...for woodstove roasting

lmao, all this weather talk, reminded me of a part of my dream from last night. I was driving through a forest and saw a rainbow then it became a double rainbow and kept growing to where I saw the end of the rainbow. I said, "holy shit, a double rainbow!" lol. Then it became a triple rainbow, then quadruple, and then finally, quintuple! Except in my dream, I didn't know the term quintuple and called it something completely silly. There were also all these flowers blooming... I was tripping out on this beautiful rainbow and all these trees and flowers...

I always interpret my dreams so I'm gonna go do that. Seems like a good dream though.

Cold outside, but the sun shining through the library windows is cooking me alive. Better than being outside though, I suppose.

 

no rain here...we just had lots of that thick snow that sticks in the trees ...i like to call it christmas snow
