im looking at the k12 online stuff. my mental state cant handle this crap. i know she was mad, i was furious, my kid is in trouble and under punishment. what else should i have done? my brain kept throwing visualizations of how i could take her down, i should have smashed her face with my forehead. i could have pushed her away or causght her around the neck and flipped her. the visions just overlayed the reality, then she came back up behind me when i was trying to talk to the bus driver, breathe, and not pass out or vomit. i couldnt even turn around, i just said that i had ptsd and to back off. i wasnt on the bus. i didnt see it happen. and of course i have told my son that hitting is wrong. what the fucking fuck bitch? im still shaking and feel like crying and screaming and taking a stroll on the highway. i just dont want to have to deal with anything anymore. im so deeply depressed. i dont want to be medicated. i dont want my son to be medicated. i want to run away.

 

ML you could contact the board of education in your area and see if there's a alternate school program offered in your district ...
Most of all find out what happened between the two boys that caused the altercation, maybe your son was being picked on or the other boy has has trouble with others it the past...
Gather all your facts....talk to your hubby

Have a calming glass of tea.....put on some music... try to relax

 

the other boy was 5, to my sons 7. from what it sounded like, mine felt he was cutting in front of him, and the 5 year old was trying to stay with his big sister.

it was completely uncalled for, and im a terrible parent, and as much as id like to have more kids i dont think i can justify it if i cant raise them right. i am broken.

i had some tea. im too crushed for it to help. there is a school my frends kids go to, but i dont drive, so i cant get him down there. thats why im looking at the online public schools. he only has social problems, he'll do better when we remove those i think. he is very smart, just not in this department. my heart hurts.

 

and on the flipside......I spent a half hour searching various meds they are discussing with my son....he is very knowledge thirsty when it comes o his meds and knows so much more than I on the subject

lol....just like when I said there is either indoor or outdoor....I got that from growing up....also growing up there was 2 categories of pills....uppers or downers.....the sideways shit started later in life lol

 

Mother's Love, that gal sounds like she wants to be the only one hitting her child, or something like that. With her being all up in your personal space and screaming, etc, it sounds like her kid has probably witnessed and is quite used to being in confrontational situations and would know well how to provoke.

It also sounds like your kid is normal. FGS, the bus is where most of us (me) got into our first "physical confrontation" (fight). For all that, your kid was probably provoked. I taught my son to NEVER initiate a fight but that he should (always) take up for himself, unless of course it is with a girl...and then (as hard as it would be - lol) to walk away.

Anyway, it sounds like she needs to learn a lesson. (restraining order?) Without a doubt, she is no stranger to causing trouble.

Does the bus have video with sound? Between kids (as well as adults) sometimes the first person to throw the lick is NOT the one that starts a fight.

Edit: I just read the last couple of posts (they came in while I was s l o w l y forming my post )...that the kid cut in, even to be with his sister, still sounds like something that would piss off lots of kids.

Sometimes the smartest kids have a little difficulty in social situations...that doesn't make you a bad mother!

shes going to be in the same position, i guarantee it. but she wont know or remember how she destroyed a stranger for something that was out of her control. boys pull this shit. crying zero tolerance does not change the nature of boys.

what are parents supposed to do? i dont want my kid to be bad. he doesnt push his cousins around. and its always stupid shit, like being cut in line, or not getting to be first in line, or some kid cheating at a game. all frustrating, but all things that he should just let slide. did i miss a manual somewhere?

kid stepping on an ied isnt much different than the poor black kid gunned down by police in a phony drug war.. we should start draping flags over them. because they live here and have to really struggle to survive. so you filled out a piece of paper at the recruiters office. Kids at that age do get into spats and it is up to the parents to set the bar for how to handle them. You did the right things, she did not.

You spoke to the driver, got the story and then taught your son that it was wrong and there is a consequence. He is young but he will learn as you are being consistent and following through.

I am so sorry that it set off a panic attack. Take comfort in the fact that you did the right things. Kids are kids and as displayed by the other mother, adults are not always adults.

hes got hard labor this weekend. he picked up dog poop and trash for his aunt (who has 3 boys) hes raking the backyard now, and we are going to my mom's so he can pick up poop there and do more chores. we have plenty of yard work for him to do. i told him that its not supposed to be fun, its supposed to teach him not to lay his hands on others in anger. hes such a lovey kid, i dont get it. im worried that its lost twin stuff that no one understands, its been a really hard year of reminders. 7 year stretch or something. but we cant afford to see counselors.

i am doing dishes and making lunch/ eating bacon. and candy corn.

 

it's been snowing all day and it is still snowing. the weather network was calling for rain all day but I guess the temperature stayed a few degrees colder than expected.
