I'll never forget the L.A. riots. The "City of Angels" turned into a third-world warzone for a few days and people had to become prisoners in their own homes. Sometimes you need a little disorder to make you realize that most of what you try to obtain or do in your pathetic lives is meaningless when it comes right down to it. I thought it was a bad situation at the time (age 17), but now I look back and realize that it was something shook us up. You couldn't even go out to the fucking store. What store? What shop? Fuck, the city was under seige. Fuckin' L.A.... ha ha... under seige. America has two problems (two issues that not even 9/11 brought to our attention) : APATHY and AMNESIA. BushCo took 9/11 for their own personal agenda to pass the Patriot Act much like Hitler did the Reichstag Fire to pass the Enabling Act. After the L.A. Riots, robot Amerika went right back to its materialistic jerk-off life. After 9/11...after Katrina...we still haven't learned. What are we waiting on?? I'd hate to see what it's going to take to wake people up. I am a bit frightened about it. And I don't think the Gestapo is going to end "terra" either. I don't know if it will be a man-made or natural disaster, but I am really concerned for "Rome" right now. The Empire is eroding.
people never will wake up... we fought WWII to remove a facist dictator... yet the end of WWII didn't exactly see the end of facism and dictatorship in the world... far from it in fact.... these days we fight wars without even clear definitions about why we are fighting them.... humans are fucked.... pass the bong....
Well, in that case, we need to legalize the fuck out of drugs. If we can't have social liberation, we just need not realize it.
Give 'em pot in prison and the violence will vanish in a hurry. But, somehow I don't think those in charge really want that.
we're scared to admit the truth we don't wanna see so we close our eyes and hide in our books/computers/work/exercise/anything but reality (I'm just as guilty as the next person over it)
