Changes on the horizon

It appears that quite a few people I know, both offline and on, have been going through drastic changes lately. (Not to be offensive in any manner, but these are the unsaved ones that I speak of). Their dispotions seem to be darker. A lot of folks have been more depressed, and angry as of late. My psychology professors would chalk this up to seasonal depression and developmental changes. However, I see something more sinister. Those who were once lively and sincere, are now dull and superficial. The ones who abuse illegal substances have been increasing their intake. Many of these people have been backsliding in their faith, or renouncing it all together.

The current rash of storms, the increasing violence and wordly desires, and now the FDA's approval of the mark.... we are seeing more and more signs of the end.

"In the last days, people will be lovers of themsevles, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying it's power." (2 Timothy 3:1-4)

 

can we really still really rely on an idea written that long ago? did all of nastradaumuses predictions come true? seriously, what makes him different than this timothy character? dont get me wrong, he sounds like a good guy and all, but is it really because he said a magic word and listened to some nut in a funny costume? sorry to offend if i did, this was not my intention, but i see so much wrong with this...and what is the fdas approval of the mark, out of curiosity?

are people really that weak now that they have to say the cause of their happiness was because of some fairy tale they decided was reality one day, and literally bullshit themselves to become happy? are they really happy if their bullshitting themselves? just food for thought, stirring things up, dont mean to hurt anybody...

Sounds like every generation in history.

Christians have been crying "the end is coming" forever. Everything is a sign of the end (my church thought social security was the mark). If we believed everything we heard we would all be living with David Koresh out in Waco...

I can't believe some people still go for this shit, given that it's the 21st century and we know much more about the world around us than those who were writing the Bible.

Epihany, your situations may have changed... but get real... theres a whole world out there which seems to be getting on just fine!

Mine certainly is... ANYWAY what good does it do to dwell on negativity... focusing on THE END IS NIGH theology ignores the hurting individuals and social injustices as we all sit around a camp fire awaiting for the sky to open, while thousands starve and Iraq still gets bombed!

 

Christians have been saying it for years, but God doesn't work on our time. The Lord said that no one would know the exact date, but he gave us signs and clues to look for in his word.

I certainly dont think it was so we can all try to work it out and predict it... like i said above, focusing on that means we arent focussing on the very things Christ examplified!! What good does it do to a starving child in Sudan that we are sitting working out when Jesus is coming back?

I'm not trying to predict it, I am letting myself be led by the Holy Spirit. The signs and clues are there, but your relationship with Christ will determine whether or not one can see them.

The end is not completely negative for the Christian at all. The return of Christ is something I am looking forward to. However, I am deeply concerned about the salvation of others.

As far as other countries, Thank God for missionary work. My dream is to start a shelter here and ship food and resources out to other countries.

If you look into a whole bunch of stuff, not just christian prophecy, then you will see that Epiphany is aware of more than she maybe makes out.

There is a thing called the Schumann Resonance, a recordable scientific phenonemon, which is the underlying measurement of time. It is Speeding Up!

The calculated end of the frequency, which has been 26,000 years in the making, has been observed for a long time. To think that we are so detached from some "divine" destiny is narrow-minded. What would you say is divine, or comparable to so? The existence of higher forms, or higher-developed forms of life is so obviously possible.

Say if reincarnation existed; who and where is the oldest soul? would they grace us on earth with their presence? you bet, because they'd be multi-faceted entities that have evolved to a higher plane of existence. Simple.

The Holy Spirit is another word for The Oneness/Tao/Buddhist Nirvana,or Dharma, can't remember which, essentially the mind's own reaching out to higher planes, the soul's own progression to God.

Imagine that god blew up; the Big Bang - we are the fragments and we should be coming together. Some fragments want to stop that, maybe make their own, imperfect and sometimes very dark version of existence. This may be the multiverse that has been mentioned before somewhere else...

And the point about the war in iraq and people starving; that is an example of the end-times predicted - oppression and destruction of ancient sites (Babylon and ancient Mesopatamian architecture existed, and has thus been destroyed, in present day Iraq).
It is so obvious that our world is being screwed royally over at every single angle possible, and it will only get worse.

By the way, i'm not a christian, i merely share a great deal with those that follow the faith. Jesus was the original hippy!

I too see all the things you say. Do not forget though that what is happening in the world at the moment is nothing new to the world, the end times could have been 1000 years ago. But, the difference for me is the fact that Iraq/Israel and religion has become involved on the world stage. Turned full circle.

I do not know if you are aware that the bible's inspiration most probably came from earlier writings in Iraq and that prior to Jehovah a female was God. Also that Mohamed based the Quoran on the bible too.....

These statements are all searchable and on the whole archeaology confirms the truths to them.

Yesterday I re-read Genesis 2, 3 and can say that I think it is the destruction of mankind. Brainwashing on a scale that can never let logic or reason in, that divides to the death, and death is all that it predicts to mankind because the words once written and believed create the division.

Then the bible would be a self fufilling prophecy?

Too true, and it may happen, but only with regards to men. The planet earth has always cycled through changes regardless of mans existence on it...and will continue to change, despite us.....

Actually we are a lot less brutal and uncaring than we have been in the past. Civil rights and equal rights are catching on everywhere, we have been moving toward technologies that help us care for eachother and save lives.

You can't honestly say that we are worse than any other generation before us. Study up on history. Bloody Mary, Vlad the Impaler, The Crusades. Read up on medieval history in general. Talk about brutal, uncaring, boastful, and proud.

Or look at the old roman empire, with all it's wealth. Rome was a culture very similar to ours, and was expanding all over the globe. The poor were treated bad, and the wealthy treated like gods. And the rich then would be the most wealthy on the planet now (considering money today is not even worth the paper it is printed on).


Point is, if you are looking for clues, you are going to find them. But don't fool yourself in the process. We are not any worse than our history. I don't know about better, but definitely not worse. And all the history is there to prove it. Just do the research.

I myself am very willing to embrace the reality of the times we live in.

But I don't assume you will agree. Some people only want to see what they want to see....

 

This has to do with the precession. Besides just rotating on it's axis, the earth wobbles 3 degrees as well. It takes 26000 years to do this. This is where the earths magnetic poles switch their electromagnetic charge, possibly causing a cataclysm such as the last ice age.

The Mayans (as well as the Egyptian, Greek, Sumerian, and other ancient empires) knew of precession, and this is where the 2012 and 2024 date comes from. Scientists have no idea if, or when it's going to occur.

 

Various types of torture and killing continue to go on in other countries around the world.


The Lord said point blank, during the end times, people will turn from him and their hearts will grow cold. You cannot say the pledge of allegiance anymore because it contains his name. Some people are now up in arms over money saying, "In God we trust." The idea of abandoning the way the Lord comissioned marriage between a man and a woman is now being threatened. The laws and acts they want to pass to say that the mere utterance of religion is against the constitution. All of these events have been happening rather rapidly in the past few years. They will only continue, step after step, right up until the end.
