Can be songs, stories, etc. What is the best pie you ever had? Mine was a blueberry one i had this weekend...It was bursting with blueberries and the crust was flaky, light and perfect. the love is in the details.....I am not a baker....so I have been looking for the perfect pie....Most disappoint.... I am excited to finally have found the perfect pie, and just found out it is only 34 miles away from here, so i think I will be taking a trip soon....with a 24 hour preorder.....for about 3 of them. I am not much into peach pie, but I heard these sell out the quickest with first come, first serve and they are to die for, so I am thinking about it.........I will definitely order 1 or 2 of the blueberry...... This place is only seasonal....dammit. i wish i had a blueberry one here now. http://www.greenacreshudson.com/
I had a Chocolate Pudding pie once in one of the Mom and Pop Cafe's in the Adirondack Mts when i was younger and it still sticks with me today (not the pie, the memory lol). Although it probably isn't as tasty as when you are 14 or so but still was good. Can't go wrong with a good ol' fashion, home made, Turkey day, Pumpkin pie. oh and a Pecan pie as well
Oh yea, pumpkin pie. I revoke my earlier statements. I love any pie with graham cracker crust. My personal favorite is key lime pie. Mmmm.
pizza pie had me a slice for lunch today by the lakeside while watching sailboats and windsurfers out on the water
My dad makes the best pies in the world IMO. My favourite is apple rhubarb cranberry. I make a pumpkin pie with a cheesecake layer that I think is really good too, but my dad's pies really take the cake!
I forgot about Key lime pie, another one of my favorites with the graham cracker crust. LOVE graham cracker crust.... Edwards makes great frozen pies, and their Keylime pie is pretty wonderful, as well as their chocolate cream pie..... My grandmother used to pick the berries and make her own raspberry pies, and from her garden she would pick rhubarb and make rhubarb pie. There was nothing that women could not do.....she came from a do it yourself era, which i wish i knew how to do half the things she could do. My grandfather built all of the buildings they lived in, and made most of the furniture , too, and my grandma could do everything else from the land and knit most of the winter clothes they wore. Anyway........i also love pumpkin pie, but have not found a good one yet.....I like that on the sweet side rather than too spicy side..... Creativity with pies..... not sure I would eat the octopus, though.....:
and I did think of Sheperd's pies...i used to eat those as a child...i think the success lies in the crust of any pie, too.
