Does catnip get cats high? Why do they like it so much, is it like cat weed?

 

a show on animal planet talked about various plants that animals ingest to get "high" and among them was catnip.

it proberly wont work for people, only cat's, female cats like it more thanmale one, i dunno why

CATNIP DOES NOT WORK FOR HUMANS. Believe me, I tried. I smoked a fat ass blunt of catnip to the head, nothing. But it tastes like mint, which is kinda cool.

i used to smoke catnip when i had no weed. its pretty relaxin

 

if there are any effects on humans, from the consumption of catnip, it is most likely placebo.

 

I think it has to do with the smell. I know my cat loves it

 

im a tea person. i make my own blends with diffrent herbs. from my experinces i have found that catnip produces a few worth while effects. it produces a very mild seditive effect. but what i use it for is upset stomaches. it works wonders.

 

Yeah on the package of catnip seeds it says to make tea and drink it...

 

when me and my friend were young (like, real young) we used to "pretend" that catnip as pot and wed smoke it, even tho we wouldnt inhale, i dunno, it was fun, and now, were both huge pot heads, so hey, some things never change.

That'd be funny if you were like 8...if you were actually smoking pot at 8 it'd be insane and terrible...but pretending to at 8 is just cute

i remember my friends and i, in the 6th grade, used to use the white sticks from suckers, draw black on the tip with a marker and pretend we were smoking cigarettes. and this one kid was always like "dont do that! that means youre going to be a smoker when you grow up!"

catnip, like damiana does have mild effects on humans, if you are used to being stoned out of your mind 24/7 it may be too mild to even notice but both do providea mild high, & are nice to smoke as well.
also copal causes a mild high as well, & has a very nice taste. it does tend to melt down & clog up the screen very quickly though
the effects of copal are like a mild opiate combined with a mild psychoactive
