Boo hoo hoo state controlled press, no aspirin, the people are healthier there than in America. They dont get sick in the same ways and numbers people get sick here in America. When you have no choice but to eat healthy food your body rewards you by not getting sick.

Now I dont know how true the claims are that you cant get an aspirin in cuba or if you get your teeth pulled you get no painkiller. I dont see how they couldnt buy opium and transform it into a painkiller. That just dosent make sense to me. If I were Castro, and had 59 million dollars surplus im sure I could work a deal to buy some opium. Come on now.

 

Well I really don't bother getting into Cuba's problems too much because it seems like every problem in Cuba is blamed on the embargo by many and not the shortcommings of a socialist economic system.

The Cuban economy did well during the two world wars, as did a lot of Latin America, capitalizing on high commodity prices.

 

True here. The Internationalists forced Argentina to raise its taxes to pay the loans. Taxes were raised to such a degree that it colapsed the economy.

Perhaps its better to write off the debt and shut off the funding tap.
