wtf? Norml's response to www.stop19.com http://stash.norml.org/stop19-com-c...cartels-behind-prop-19-marijuana-legalization some of their arguments are ridiculous. they claim that Camel cigarettes are in favor of prop 19 passing because they want to use addictive chemicals in pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, they also call strong proponents and contributors the 'prop 19 cartel'. lots of misleading info on this site. it seems that the closer we get to freedom, the more frantic and absurd the claims against cannabis legalization get. i personally think this is a bs propoganda site made by dealers and growers that want to continue selling 400 dollar ounces and making mad profit off of it. let me know what you think
It'd be cool if it were legalized and all but seriously, a lot of the fun in it is that it is an illegal high and also I don't think I'd like to see people on the streets off their faces and shit. The only benefit I see is the availability. There are some people that act decently on the gear and there are people that act like idiots on it too. Unfortunately through my experiences, there are less level headed people smoking than the idiots. This is fine because as it's illegal most of the idiots stay indoors hiding and I don't think it'd be a positive thing to have them spill out onto our streets and community.
are you really that selfish that you'd deny a cancer patient their right to smoke weed because you think doing illegal things is fun? like really? think of what you're saying girl, because you sound like one of these "idiots" you just described
I think most people will still prefer locally grown quality bud instead of mass produced shit possibly containing chemical additives. And I don't think the price will really change that much, it costs about the same in dispensaries and on the street as it is. I would like to think that they'd be smart enough to realize the entrepreneurial oppurtunites that would become available once their business finally becomes legit and legal, but who knows. Keep in mind they're Californians, you can't expect too much out of them.
Indirectly. What she meant is that keeping it illegal would deny those people their medicine. You'd be alright with that because you get kicks out of the fact that it's illegal. I have no problem with what you said, but I can see where she's coming from.
I think there are a lot of variables that are involved and aren't being discussed at this time, as I'm sure they don't want to discuss them. They say people will be able to grow their own. Will the quality and potency be evaluated, monitored, limited? Will people pay for a license or the ability to grow their own? How do we know places that sell it won't add shit for a longer shelf life?
But legalization and medicinal are completely different. Medical purposes > Recreational use. I wouldn't expect a cancer patient to be walking the streets all doped up anyway. So we'll just get this straight. I was referring to recreational smokers.
Lmao stoned people are already all over the streets, as are drunk people, and it's yet to ruin society. General rule of thumb is stoned people like to be outside. You're in Germany correct? To my knowledge drinking in public is completely legal there right?
i think your taking the people in the scenario of weed being illegal, and picturing them the same way in the scenario of it being legal. there would be much less idiots if it were to be legalized because weed would be treated pretty much exactly like alcohol. of course there are a few idiots when it comes to alcohol, but very very few, and thats because the drug is very very well known and acknowledged. plus there'd be slightly less people on the streets because a lot of those people got there because of the law. less laws means less crime. the illegal high thing is kinda stupid. i dont think any part of experienced smokers have a part of them that smokes for the fun of it, for the little "rebelious rush". thats pretty stupid, especially cuz cops freak stoners the fuck out. theyre not playing a lil game. and "and also I don't think I'd like to see people on the streets off their faces and shit." you mean u dont wanna see people under the influence in public? like i said before, weed would be treated like alcohol.
I don't think they should legalize it, it'll lose it's appeal and the stigma is has about smoking it. Paint the picture. You're fourteen and you collect some weed, you're awesome, you're super cool ... you're walking through your front door to find granny smoking some skunk and watching Days Of Our Lives. Go you.
Considering I don't live anywhere near you people, my personal experiences of weed which are invalid to you are quite valid in my local area making your opinions and experiences just as invalid to me as mine are to you. No point trying to correct a young lass and her opinion if you've got no clue now, is there?
The allure of it being illegal just isn't true. Yea sure when you're 15 it is, but that's why people continue smoking weed, it's why in the 14 states it's been decriminalized in people keep smoking weed, it's why when you reached the legal drinking age you kept drinking.
price will definitely go down once people start getting local licenses and selling it. the reason it costs so much is because it's illegal. once the market opens up, the law of supply and demand will assure that the price drops substantially.
But it's cool because it is illegal when you're young and then you just end up liking it and sticking to it. The same way alcohol is popular with underaged teens. Yet once you're legal you're kinda over it, at least I was. I remember the times where I was underage and attending house parties and you'd be plastered and walking home at midnight. Then you turn legal and everyone wants to start going out at midnight and you're drunk and stumbling home when the sun is up, thus quickly losing the appeal.
i think you've derailed my thread with your ridiculous posts. there will be more people high on the streets? do you think people don't already get high and go about their day? driving, shopping, working, etc? the fun is it's illegal status? yea it's sooooo fun getting busted for a plant. im glad i dont smoke for the thrill of it. your comparisons with alcohol aren't even relevant. bring an intelligent response to the thread and we can discuss it.
that seems much more weighed on anecdotal info and not logic. the large majority of people smoke weed cuz they like it, not cuz they like doing illegal things. do you smoke yourself? if so, i just dont understand you. if not, take it from the words of many stoners on here.
